Hey mutants - - it doesn't take much to get a mini-C put together. All you have to do is put your planned route out there and someone will contact you for a gathering. Try it. You'll like it.
I'll be checking the Noblesville news in the morning!

I am so sorry. It seems I have offended "Tiffy" (What's in a name anyhow!) so don't use Duct tape. Use the new substance Super Glue. You can use the Duct tape on your fingers so you don't snip at me anymore. Sheesh!

Sue, I will not mention what word and let the others try and decipher but I have not heard that word in that context for many, many years. Thanks for bringing back some old memories - if I can remember that far back.

I think I heard you sing once. You should go to Hollywood. The walk would do you good.

On the other side of the rainbow, here in Camp Pendleton on Del Mar Beach it is 0930 hours and the temperature is 66˚. Far cry from the last 3 days at JoJoba Hills where the temperature reached 100˚ for 3 days.

Besides the far North, anyone wishing to escape the heat come on out to the Left Coast and enjoy the mild temperatures.

Today marks 72 years since the D-Day invasion.

My thanks go out to all who had family members taking part in that landing. I had two Uncles involved in that landing.

Thank you.

From Earlene:

Yesterday in the high desert, we could listen to scrub jays scratch in the gravel and smell wild rosemary growing on the berm. Today, at the beach at Camp Pendleton, we have amtracks and the scent of diesel plus 89 campfires burning who knows what. Ah, but we traded 99 degree days for highs of 71˚.

It's amazing it's been so long but I often wonder just how many veterans that experienced that are still alive...
