The words I would have to say should not be said in public and would get me banned for life on IRV2. Suffice it to say that there are people that just can't stop hating.

I've never been to a gay bar...it's not my gig, but I love that I live in a country where they exist.

Thanks, Don, for voicing support. It is so very much appreciated, believe me. And thanks to everyone for voicing support and sending ommms and prayers for victims and their loved ones. We all need to pull together and make sure love overcomes hate!

Thanks for that, Barry. We used to love to go dancing in our younger days and those were the only "safe" places we could go to dance. Even then, you had to take care and watch all around you while walking from your car to the door of the establishment, and the same on the way back to your car.

Never in my life will I forget the day we learned that a young man in our community had been accosted outside a bar, taken to the gravel pits by three hate-filled men and slowly tortured to death. Mid-90s, east Texas. It was my first experience of knowing about a hate-crime in our town and it shook me to the core. It made me realize that not only is hate bad for the soul of the hater, it's outright dangerous for the objects of the hate.

Again, thanks Barry.

Again, thanks Barry.
I find the people who do the hating in the name of religion even more despicable that the rest. How someone lives and loves should never be the object of hate. Colleen, Denise and I chatted on the phone the other evening about how great it was belonging to this august group because of the inclusiveness. People in general need to learn how to get along.

A few years ago Canada Border Services had a beautiful A Class and accompanying toad up for sale to the highest bidder. It had been confiscated because the owner was smuggling in a pistol.
On my only trip to Canada, a U.S. Border officer confiscated some California grown oranges that I bought in a grocery store. Obviously they think that you Canukistanis must contaminate produce while you have it.

Hey Di, why don't you tell me again about that Postcard App you use. This time I'll download it while I have free WiFi.
