My estimate is based on a full M1, 2 or 3 per Freightliner recommendations. Freightliner Houston does a good job.

Your dipstick episode reminds me of this: Many many moons ago there was a cartoon of two men standing in front of a car with the hood up. One was the owner and the other was the mechanic. The owner caption read, "Can you keep it under $15?" The Mechanic replied, "Do you want to close the hood or do you want me to?"

I got rid of the Euro Chair and have a Lazyboy. So much better.
Wayne - I know what it's like to have a good home shop. The little country FL we used in Howe was great. But truthfully, my experience has been pretty bad with FL. Unless it's a chassis issue, I don't think I'm going back to them. They are defenitly inconsistent at best. And generally not MH friendly.

Ok, while we are all expressing our challenges with our rigs, here is mine. The fresh water system won't hold water or pressure. I woke up to the sound of the water pump running a few days ago. I don't connect to a water faucet here due to a leaky faucet stem.

So I refilled the tank and think we are good for another 3-4 weeks. Wrong! Even with a full tank, the water pump won't stop running and there is a puddle under the coach. Hoping it was just a loose cap, I crawled under with pliers. What I found was water leaking out of the foam insulation around the pipe.

I then call our handy, dandy RVM Master Mister Fix-it, Dwayne. He immediately diagnoses the problem as a leak in the water line near the water pump. The water pump is accessed thru a basement bay, which is full.

Nothing is ever easy. Today's project is to empty that that bay and secure those items from Sena, then get at the water pump. Wish me luck.

Good luck keeping Sena at bay!

Sorry to hear you have a problem with H2O... if it is as Dwayne has diagnosed - that should be an easy fix. The hard part will be as Carl said.. keeping your little helper at bay!

You always amaze me Barb. You have the smallest footprint. We have 100 gallons of water on board (if we fill it, which we dont) but no way it would last 3 or 4 weeks. Nope. Not even close.

Can anyone help??

Years ago, I saw a sign at an auto repair that went something like:

$ 20/hr service (like I said, it was years ago)

$ 30/hr for rush service

$ 40/hr if you watch

$ 90/hr if you help...

I wish I could remember exactly how this went...

For many of you that frequent repair shops, you may have seen this sign...

I hope all your repairs & maintenance are inexpensive & keep you on the rainbow..

Mel - your troubles are minor. Knock on wood!

Dave and Nola, RV Mutants
Ha Dave, enjoyed the phone call yesterday morning! We've been looking over the pics in your blog and boy are we ready to get there. But first we got to get this baby here! Due date today, as of just a few minutes ago, DIL says nothing happening yet. Son thought he'd bring labor on by fishing in a tournament this evening. It was on a nearby lake, one he could be to hospital in 25-30 minutes if needed, it wasn't needed. So now we wait!

Looking forward to a new grandchild, looking forward to a good trip and looking forward to some mutant comroderey! Oh Yeah!
