Well... the best way to figure out this mutancy is to go to the beginning and read about 10-15 pages to get the flavor.... sometimes, I go back just for fun and reread early stuff...Welcome newcomers! Marty here... not a full timer, no plans to be one, but enjoy the company and mindset of most folks who claim mutancy here... it's kind of like I found my adopted family. Being in the middle of this grand country, we get visitors occasionally on thier way east or west, or north or south... Just 20 minutes south of Kansas City area in a quiet charming little town.

So, I'm still trying to catch up from being caught up when I got back from Girl's camp.... but, I wish to inform Barb... I made my reservation for the official RVM mooning.. Being a little rig helped assure me a spot! I understand there is one on standby who is a big 40 footer....iffin we get everybody... we could take over all the RV parks down there! Now wouldn't that be somethin! What does one drink when celebrating the moon thing? Will there be an official drink with which we toast the the grand event? Will there be a special dance? Will we all wear our kimono's to greet RVMoon?
I made the reservation on faith... with my luck, we'll be having another wedding or grand baby then...LOL! I hope it all works out! I hope Honey will be fit for the trip... She gets to go out dry camping on the airfield July 7-9 for a power chute fly in...I hope to get video this time so I can catch a little clip of all the power chutes coming in to land one right after another... it's so cool!
OK, I'm sure I'll find more to comment on by the time I finish catching up from Saturday on with this mouthy group...LOL!

Well they mowed the grass this morning and the honey bees are going crazy looking for the clover. The flowers were already turning red so they've been working hard the past few days. Easily 50 of em just zig zagfing their way around what few flowers they can find. Even the big bumble bees are scrambling for a bloom here and there.

If my figuring is right, that makes 15! It's a good thing we have a little over a year to figuring out all that pondering on how to greet RVMoon. What are your dates? We are thinking about changing ours to 2 weeks since so many others are going to be around. Hate to miss all the grand campfires and chattering, exploring and of course geocaching.

At this point... 17-23. I kind of want to see glacier park on the way there or on the way home... and Bob doesn't travel well for extended times in the 'box'. So it's a long time away and haven't yet begun to plan other than put a marker in for the campsite and put the time on the calendar... and I still actually haven't convinced him to go, although if I put my foot down, I suspect he would come with me... but I'm not above going solo with Bess dog by my side. If I had to do that, might be better to caravan with someone in case I broke down....

I'm not sure what year your motoring "Honey" is but a few years ago (4 or 5) Denise and I put a little over 7,000 miles on a 1977 Class C we owned, traveling to and from the east coast for Lobstah. It was a 400 CID Chevy carbuerated engine with a 4 speed auto.

No problems at all going but a problem climbing the great divide coming home. That's when I discovered 'Lucy' had about a ton and a half of souvenir rocks for her and her daughter's flower gardens.

Honey looks to be a Ford so if you got a 460 under that hood you should do just fine.

After Glacier, you could come down to Missoula and take hwy 12 to Orofino where we could join you the rest of the way. From Orofino, it is only 478 miles to Idanha. We will most likely go to Kennewick, WA and then to Madris OR before heading to Idanha. Something for you mutuies to think about. Lolo pass is the big one that you would have to deal with but it is a beautiful drive between Missoula MT and Lewiston ID.

Well, Little ol Honey is a 351 under her hood... but if we don't bring the trailer with the powered parachute... she might make it, albeit really slowly over those passes... Hmmm... gonna have to think this one through...
She's an 88 but the engine is a rebuilt we had put in her after we got her a few years back. It worked great first trip out, then had a wiring ( mice) problem in the engine, then up and died, I was already enamored by her and had no luck when looking at more units...sold before we got there with the $$, so we gave up and put a rebuilt in her... she's done us good since then. Been to Yellowstone, Utah, Idaho, Coastal Texas and Arkansas on different long trips... well, we did have trouble on the way to Utah last year... slept in the mechanic's parking area, can't remember what her trouble was, but got her fixed up and no trouble since then...

Actually very interesting and a lot of fun. Lots of seminars from the like of Freightliner, Cummins, and various others.
Entertainment every evening,in true Mutant fashion we have become associated with a rather crazy bunch and we've all been put together at the 'baddy' tables which of course resulted in more mayhem as we led the whole group (600 folks) in a conga line last evening. Many potential Mutants some have said we'll join but who knows?
Unfortunately Pat broke 3 toes sky- diving, well ok while walking the dogs....they bolted after some rabbits and took her with them. She's fine, wine consumption is still at a good level and she's still able to cook and do the laundry.
I have to leave now to stand bail for Vince after 'the incident' this morning.
Be safe
