That reminds me of when I lived in Grand Rapids OH for a spell, it was amongst fields and fields of corn. Used to ride my 3-wheeler thru the paths down to the Maumee River, grand times...farmers are great folk!

X10 on the outfits!!

That's the road into the park we're at... the road to Eureka (7 miles from here and the college home of Ronald Reagan has beans on one side of the road and corn on the other.

Very impressive! How many were they short of the record?

They were a little over a hundred short but the fact that we can muster 3/4 of the required number from a population base area 1/10,000 the size of the city we were up against is sort of a moral victory for us.

I don't know if I can hear corn growing, but I can find a tomato worm by listening to the little clicking it makes when it's munching on my tomato plants!

Yesterday was a very hard day. It was my dad's funeral. Thanks to my mutant family for all the support. I know he is watching over me and that makes me smile but the ache in my hart is hard to look past. Yesterday was the day I realized he is really gone. I'm doing OK. It's hard but OK I know he's not in pain and is with his mother. And God so I'm good.
