RVM66 also checking in. spending the week up on a ridge just outside of Nashville, Indiana. DW's nephew just started full-timing and is parked here beside us doing computer stuff for a living over the 'Net.
House is sold, waiting for the appraisal, closing in mid-August if all goes according to plan. Then everything goes into storage & we hit the Rainbow...(unless I'm still w*rking, then we hit a nearby campground for a while, gotta get those bills paid down...)

You will be in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow at 10 am our time. I am assuming you are in eastern time.

*** Don't give the nurses too bad a time, Steve! In the meanwhile, we'll all be sending good thoughts your way.
All is well here in North East Washington. Rick is off to a family reunion, which I was fortunate enough to get out of ;o) The roof on the RV we paid to have worked over last year leaks again, so it sets...waiting for someone with energy to figure out the problem and fix it. Much to my dismay, the place that supposedly fixed it last year said anytime you hit a bump you can do damage and wouldn't honor their work so we don't see much point in taking it to a repair shop again. I thought it should have lasted a whole year, but what do I know.
We did take the dogs and cat with us on an interesting trip in April to Pahrump, NV while the weather was still cooler. Horribly windy, but cooler. We took a 4 day handgun training class at Front Sight and the 5th day taking concealed carry classes, which, by the time the permits get back from states that reciprocate with other states, will have us legal in 42 states.
I will admit to being totally out of my comfort zone, being the only grey haired gal there out of several hundred people. The place is large, to say the least. There were multiple handgun ranges, rifle ranges, sniper ranges, and other weapon/combat stuff you see on TV that I would never never ever consider trying.
But my point is that we didn't know what we didn't know, and we grew up with guns in Alaska. And we are certainly the better and safer shots now for it. Repetition, repetition, repetition by gun instructors yelling at you if you don't do the drills by the book....but when there are 20 or 30 people standing there with loaded handguns it's understandable they want to totally trust everyone's judgement and skills.
I can now clear a jam in nothing flat and change out magazines on the run (ok consider the source and call it a fast walk). I am now pretty good on head and thoracic cavity shots (given time) and will get faster if we maintain regular practice. Rick recently bought me a nice little Ruger LC9s to replace my old Lady Smith revolver.
Ladies! If I can do it, so can you. Rick enjoyed it, but I assure you the first day I would have gone home if we hadn't been 3 days from it. But education isn't always fun. It's the outcome you're after and I am happy to say I was very pleased with the outcome.
It was also a fun boon docking experience on BLM land and the dogs had a good time too! All of our solar lights came in handy and worked great. The volcano grill didn't cook so good in the constant nasty wind and we resorted to the indoor propane cook stove. The big awning across the man door side didn't fare well either, but once it's all the way out in a windstorm, it's too late to try to take it down then! I kid you not, we had the metal ladder, water jugs, rocks and a 40 lb sack of dog food hanging on it trying to keep it from being ripped away. Fortunately there was only minor damage and wasn't too hard to repair.
Again, best of wishes to you, Steve. See you down the road! (Hang in there Annie, men are not always good patients.)
