Did you leave out Whiskey (other than scotch)?? TN & KY is well known for their Whiskey - & there is even a "Whiskey Trail" in those 2 states...

I feel an obligation to size up the Canadian Whiskeys to compare while I am in Canada...

I almost forgot scotch is a whiskey, right?? I am not very well schooled..

I may need more than a week... lol

Thanks for the welcomes.

Fredericksburg, October?

Yaw are making this way too easy. Hardly even a jaunt from here.
I suspect there's a place or method for discovering the specifics?

I wouldn't want to repeat questions already asked.

#142. That's me. I'm a citizen.

So now I know the actual population of rainbowville. It was a mystery!

Be happy to sweep n mop.

Alas, I am honored. And I know enough to know.................well, here goes:

Um, let's see......

I don't have satellite TV. Yea. That's one. And I don't miss it. (much to the chagrin of DIRECTV, since I was an uninterrupted 14 year customer)

Um what else? Oh I know.
I don't have a wall separating my bed from the rest of the tiny-house. I don't miss it or need it. But having said that, if the porch light isn't on, that means pawpaw has already taken his pants off for the night. I will NOT be answering the door. (gotta teach the grandkids when my day is done)

I don't have lots of storage space, so I can't accumulate stuff I don't need.

I could go on and on I guess, but I'm already starting to feeling awkward claiming what I don't have because I'm much more prone to celebrating all that I DO have. I have more than any one man should claim rights to!

And yes, it is ALL about the journey. In fact, I'm ok if I never get there, where ever there is. Right here right now is where I am destined to be this moment. I would regret missing out on anything today because I gave undo focus on tomorrow.
Am I in?
I reserve the right to still enjoy the thread in its entirety. But it appears I must juggle the past and the present to accommodate the cards that have been dealt.

Thanks for the personal invite. I'm honored. I KNEW there were folks that shared my malady. I just didn't snap that made me a mutant. Makes so much sense now.

Cheers
Welcome RVM 142! You have entered the twilight zone of mutantaneous! Join in often! DH & I live in North Central Idaho along the Lewis Clark trail. If you ever get our way, give us a holler.

Update on GC in Fredericksburg TX:
Oct 31- Nov. 5
The RV park that can handle our size of group is:
FREDERICKSBURG KOA
5681 East US Highway 290
Fredericksburg, TX 78624
(830) 997-4796
fdbgkoa@beecreek.net

All member’s must call to make their reservations and at the time of reservation they will give you a 10% discount on the rate too.

So to make reservations you need to call (830) 997-4796. Let them know you are part of the RVMutant Rally.

There is no river that runs through or by it, but Lady Bird Johnson Park is not far away from this RV park and you can fish there. I am looking for river access for canoeing etc. too.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park

3 miles South of Fredericksburg on Hwy. 16 S (Call park for directions, GPS is not always accurate). Baseball and softball fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic tables and fishing, nature trail

The crown jewel of Fredericksburg’s recreational parks is the 150 acre Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. Rolling hills and rambling Live Oak Creek set the stage for a beautiful day. It is a place to rest, relax and enjoy nature. Five pavilions (four with barbecue pits) serve as the spot for birthday parties, class and family reunions, school field trips, wedding and more. Baseball/softball fields are available for a casual game or can be reserved. A sand volleyball court and outdoor basketball courts are available. The park offers a beautiful setting for large and small groups no matter the occasion.

Do NOT buy a paddle online. Too many different grips and lengths, mine and Larrys are different.

Same for lifejacket.... Get one designed for paddling so you can sit comfortable

I recommend Academy

Then there is this trolly... Allows you to easily pull you yak.... We have a combination lock cable, just lock them around a fence or dock while out.... These came from Amazon....

All good advice, Mel.

My self-loader is a Hullavator. It lifts and lowers most of the the yak's weight for you, which gets to be more & more valuable as time rolls on!

A trolley is also a life-saver. Mine is from a design for PVC pipe w/purchased wheels that a friend found online and Martin made up for me. It can be made to come apart for packing semi-flat.

Here's hoping to go paddling w/ y'all one of these fine days! Cheers!

It might be 2017 before I catch up to you lunatics RVMers. But somehow I am convinced it is worth the chase. (Am I the tortious?)

By the way, by page 73, only a few characters have been developed. I so hope to find most of them still here next year.

By then, I bet I know if I really am a fit. Sure, yawd likely let me in now, but that's just because it appears, so far, yaw are a very welcoming species. But I gotta know myself.

Hilarious stuff!

Check the rear view every once in a while. I'm coming.
Oh, goody! Another who reads every word! I did at first, and still do.

Currently, I'm this far behind (about 300 posts), and am persevering. Might even ketchup before midnight.

Keep reading, snakebitten! By the time you get from "there" to "here" you'll be totally befuzzled and confoozed. Its a common state of mind amongst STMs.

And BTW, welcome to the madness. (I read ahead some).
