This summer the crows have been extra noisy and Lily has decided they are evil and must be barked at loudly. The worst part is that the crows have been waking us up about 6 am. <groan> And since I am a night owl, I am rarely asleep before 2 am. After the crows wake us up and Lily REALLY wakes us up, Sena wants breakfast. Our whole day is shot and I'm exhausted from lack of sleep.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to silence our mornings?
Well since you're in the Seattle area, I'm afraid what I would suggest wouldn't go over too well😁

I placed a fake owl in our garden to keep the rabbits out. Couldn't tell it helped any. When I first found I had a bat problem in my barn I placed the owl on a pole near where the bats were entering. The bats response was pooping on it! Feeling sorry for the owl, the other day while waxing the Discovery I also washed and waxed the ooo. WHO? I meant to say the Owl!

Maybe our comfort zone is like a donut that surrounds the hole that is the comfort zone of the 98%?

Are crows afraid of owls?

We are parked next to the garage and a storage shed that is conveniently placed so that Sena can jump out the RV window to the top of the shed and then to the garage roof. She delights in chasing the crows off the roof, but not before breakfast.

But it might be Sena who is creating the problem. She has started taking food onto the garage roof. She uses the gutter as a
cup holder for her water bottle. Anyone know where I can get an animated monkey decoy?

Hi Tom.
Good to hear from you.

But my comfort zone is the 2% zone! I would simply shrivel up and die if I had to be like the 98%...Although I do admit to procrastinating....generally if I'm overwhelmed or overstimulated.

Cap gun when they first start in... would take a few days to train them...
Earplugs for you, but that won't work on a dog, and you know she is only doing her job. I suppose you could record them and play it over and over and over for a few days to desensitize her....

Thanks Di,
I only venture out AM and evening when it's cooler. Tonight, I brought in a bunch of paste type tomatoes, so I foresee fermented salsa making happening Tuesday! Cilantro all gone to seed, so I'll have to buy some Monday so I'm ready.
