Howdy Muties!!

Papa Steve you'll love the clarity and colors back in your sight.

Elizabeth and Mary, sorry to hear there are a few out there with phobias that want to impress themselves. Sad.

Great accomplishment providing you did it! You have become suspect once I read your in Russellville and calling it Little Rovk! Ok, so to make it official we think you should come back through and get the official Arkie Mutant Handshake! This can be done with Di or Richard cause I'm on the road!

Good weather! All my life I thought it was cooler weather up north. I drive two days and find on the shores of Lake Michigan a burning hell. It's hot up here too!

Did have a great night out with Jackie and Ed! Thanks guys we're looking forward to BarHarbor!

Also thanks Jackie for the heads up on the nudist camp! We stopped in hoping to get a site but they were booked up. I said well that was ok, we'll just go on up to the site we had reserved, so can we go in and look around? We might come back through this way! Boy, I guess all over sun burn makes people irritable.

Sue, we was waving as we passed through, hope you saw us! Hopefully we can stop next time!

Later mutants! I've got 3 hr trip to make tomorrow!

Great prime rib, great visit, pictures a little dark but I think you can make out Wayne's backside just over Jackies shoulder!

Our new coach has not traveled all of those states, but our new life has..... Larry and I in our new life together, when people ask, i tell them that.... At home our world map has many countries, that we have been to together, and stayed in..... Our USA map as well, with white push pins if we just drove through or stopped for lunch.
AND, no surprise, a NOTEBOOK, i have kept of all of our travels, separate for RV and for other teavels....

So thats our rule....

Diane toftSFM#64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!
Those maps can be whatever the owner wants them to be. We spent 3 years in Hawaii and I spent most of 1 year in a tent on a hill, camping military style. Does that count. I'm going to wait for the bridge before I take my RV over there.

Next time, since you are retired CG, try Camp Robinson, Nat Guard....
Really not many parks here....

We stayed at Camp Robinson, nice find.

Elizabeth and Mary, so sorry to hear of your encounter. I can't understand why people just cannot enjoy life and leave things they don't understand alone. Don't forget the self defense move of a swift kick to the groin for either sex.

Earlene sends:

The first is a house or museum that just caught our eyes in Ferndale, close to the entry to The Lost Coast's main road, or Mattole Road. The second is our drive into the clouds, literally, on Mattole Road. The third is Sugarloaf on Cape Mendocino. Cape Mendocino is the most western point of California. This area of CA has some really rocky shoreline and lays claim to the most seismic activity of any in the state. From the coast, we visited Petrolia, a tiny town given its name because it is the location of the first oil pumped in CA. It lies in the valley of the King Range. Mattole Road leads into Humboldt Redwoods State Park. It is the most serpentine we have ever, ever, ever been on and kept Wayne totally absorbed. He'll have to look at my hundreds of photos to see what he missed.

Elizabeth and Mary.
I wish I could offer some sage and profound comment about the arsemadinks you encountered Memorial Day Weekend but I am at a loss for words. I have no way of even trying to comprehend such stupidity. Denise and I send our love and encouragement to you and many many ohmmss of healing. Like a good friend always says, "You just can't fix stupid."

Earlene sends:

Uh, striped horses? Was this a shock -- zebras in cow country

The second is just one example of why it was imperative for Wayne to give his undivided attention to his driving on this narrow oftentimes unpaved road. The third is another plus it shows how beautiful and worth the drive through the park is. Lastly, perspective -- makes Wayne look mighty small, eh?
