Crossing into Canada tomorrow. Just hopeing they don't try and take Mary's coffee creamer at the boarder. I'm sure it'll take more than just one Mounty to accomplish that! Lobstah here we come!

Does anyone know what time they shut the falls off at Niagra. Seams like a big waist of water to let it run all night.
Hope you can give us a recommendation for a campground/RV park on the Canadian side close to Niagra Falls. A visit there is in our near future!

I was there 30 years ago and remember that the Canadian village of Niagra was very charming. We camped on Lake Ontario on the American side, but this time I want to stay on the Canadian side. And this will be Kate's first time seeing the falls!

Surely they won't confiscate Mary's coffee creamer ... unless it has a label on it that says "Bailey's". We use the same creamer, so let us know ....

LOL... I sure thought I was going to get the first post this AM... Working this AM so I had to pull my sorry bones out of bed.... I still have scratches and pokes all over my arms from last night's berry picking... yup, such a glutton for punishment, we went out again last night. Sara is making Blackberry jam out of some of them and selling the rest( I hope) this AM at the farmer's market.

Hence the delicate layer of value adding patina.

I know that patina is a bit thick but my pressure washer will likely take it off. I wonder if Earlene would be game for an attempt.

I did read that you wanted to stay on the Canadian side but if that fails there are two campgrounds on the "other" side that I can recommend. One is Daisy Barn in Wilson, NY. It is about 20 miles from Niagara Falls, and not much further to Niagara on the Lake, ON, CA. The drive from Niagara on the Lake to the falls is nice with some stops along the way with one being a cable car you can take across the river for some spectacular picture taking.

The other is Niagara Heartland RV Resort and it is about 30 miles from Niagara. If you take hwy 148 up to 18 and then over to Niagara, you run along the banks/cliffs of Lake Ontario. It's a nice ride but a little further.

Here is the Passport America info on Niagara Heartland. Read the notes on PA regarding the park. At PA Rates of $16 a night - it's all about saving a few $$.

Earlene may not be, but I would consider it.

Sheesh now, sheesh.

By the way, we spent time in Eureka, CA at the Blue Ox Mill and there are some really interesting items in this "museum." Here are a few that you would like - to see or to have: (I'd post more but my computer connection is as slow as a snail.)

Mel, when we went we stayed at King Waldorfs RV Park, fhu, riverfront site.... In Niagara Falls, Canada...
They have a shuttle to the falls, think about shuttle as parking is not close unless you luck out with a handicapped site, we did, right beside the police station.... Drive up to Niagara on the Lake, and although I am not into wines...... The Ice Wines are delicious.......

Mel I don't know why your quoted post didn't appear but we are at Campark RV. Just got here but it looks ok. We got pull thru site and I'm glad cause this place is full and happening! Looks like a mutant rally, except most of these have teeth! JK it really looks fine, will let you know as time goes by!

Crossing at Detroit was peace of cake on Saturday morning, some construction delays once in CA made us feel right at home. Y'all catch up and we'll do Montreal and PEI together!

Di I tryed to get reservation at Waldorfs but they seem to be connected to a kids park now and pulling up their websit takes you to the amusement park site. Of course you know how techy I am so I moved on after a few tries!

Ok you mutants be honest, am I starting to pick up a Canadian accent, Eh!?
(Almost want to laugh cause I've already ran in to several that start and end a sentence with Ah, Eh or any derivations! )
