Fire was just getting started. Had been raining. But when the sun goes down, out came the coats, the fire was roaring and fun was had!

Had to use some of my Native American fire building skills to get that wet wood going.

I beg your pardon. Dipped in the wallet once for a $20 and turned it into five (I say 5) $100 bills. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while.

Having a excellent visit with Shara and Dwayne. Their new digs are going to be fabulous from what I see in the work so far. They're not too far from putting on the final touches. Well, except for weeks and weeks of sanding a repainting the outside. The "Rainmaker" will certainly make a statement when it's all done.

Their little piece of paradise is a nice resting place from the scores of idiots driving on the "eastside, far right" freeways. We are heading out tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Less that a day's drive to BARrr HARrrBORrr (3 days if you're named Flaggshipp). Sorry Steve, couldn't resist to poke at ya.

Pictures to follow. If Mary Ann ever gets out of bed to email the pics to me. LOL

Well the truth is out. There are those among us that breath out rainbows!

I know, you thought they came from the opposite ends of Unicorns, well I couldn't get Dave to pose that way.

I manage a Mobil Home - RV Park, Campground and Cafe. I have been doing this for twenty years. It has been a busy summer. My wife retired from the law firm in march after 35 years working in LA. I am retiring in April.
I am looking for my replacement so I can get out of here as planned.
We have a cabin in Big Bear that will be home base during the summer and when it starts to snow we will get in the MH and head for warmer climes.
Anyway that is the plan for now. Hopefully at that time we might be able to meet up with the mutants somewhere.

DW retired. You're retiring soon. That is a great place to be!!! Yes - mutants will be looking forward to meeting you both!

So once upon a time - some ditz nearly ran my cousin and I off the mountain on the way to the lake. That was 1974. My cousin and I hadn't seen each other for many years but when we met up this past winter, one of the first things that came up - hey remember when that girl tried to kill us at Big Bear. My cousin had the the gift for pulling trout out of the lake. I wasn't nearly as successful but got mine too. Just not as many. I'm sure there have been lots of changes since '74.

Drying the wood. Is that the part ware you get close and talk to the wood? I mean all that hot air and all.

Now Tim, let's get it right. In Dave's case it is the same thing.
(Couldn't resist)

Sinus infection and a polyp coming back. Good news remains - the septum is healing - not a perfect fix but good and the pathology was negative. Even in this condition, I'm better than I was. Hopefully the meds do the trick.

I am getting so antsy to move. If he keeps me here any longer I will probably take Bonita to the shop again just to have the drive time. Most fun I've had lately is driving to the shop. Oh the humanity!
Many Ohmmms headed (pardon the pun) your way, Steve. It's nice to hear that that there is improvement, but I know it's frustrating that you didn't get 100% from all the suffering since surgery.

Maybe Mutant Ohmmms need to have a healing or other magical ceremony to ramp them up for tough cases like yours. Feel better soon -- the Rainbow anxiously awaits your return.

Thanks Barb, Steve and all!
I think we're still technically on the rainbow since we have no other place we can be. We're just reluctantly not able to up and run at the moment. Although, it has crossed my mind that I have another ENT in Yuma. It's just a little too soon to be there just yet. Then again, it's rained all day and we're under a flash flood watch and Yuma has a dry heat.
