We've landed at Ft. DeSoto campground in southern, beautiful, and nautical St. Petersburg. 3 nights here and then on to Legoland for 3 nights.

We're accompanied by our 3 youngest grandsons. They are Dru (11), Austin (9), and Connor (6). Two days on the road from central Indiana, whew. Kids have be great.

Tomorrow we explore the beach for shells and then sand castle building.

P.S. I'm not going near the water. Every time I'm sitting near the ocean's water, a bunch of "do gooders" try to help me back into the water.

It's always fun to put a new RV into service, even if it's new to you. Just hope that champagne bottle wasn't broken on the hood. Even ship hulls aren't always strong enough to break the christening bottle so the outside of the bottle is usually scored to assure success. It is said that an unbroken bottle brings bad luck.

Cheers to your parents for a long and happy ride!

I want to thank Dennis, Denise, Wayne and Earlene for the delightful, all be it way too short, time we spent on Whidbey Island. It was great fun to be in the company of such delightful friends.

It is a beautiful place full of really friendly folks. A bit on the noisy side, but the Navy is forgiven for the racket from all of those high flying jets. As Earlene pointed out that's just a minor annoyance when dem boyz are working so hard to protect our freedom.

Perhaps the glow he exhibits when he enters the room?
Perhaps the curb feelers under his ears?
Pehaps she is thankful he is not a unicorn?

Perhaps, but it took a day and a half to get her affection. It's a lot faster with humans.

Would you like my theme song again?

Is that what you said to Sena to get that response?

Dave, just a p.s.,

Whidbey RV Park (Cliffside RV Park) has been redone. They added sites bringing the total to 57 all with FHU. It is just on the cliffs overlooking The Straits of Juan De Fuca and the San Juan Islands. Every site has a view with some only a peek view. The sites are all back-in but if one has the extensions they can pull in so the front cap is looking out over the water. Cumbersome but nice. The maintenance man has been here since 2003 and he is also the "Keeper of the Flowers" and they have beautiful flowers. Outside of the office are vases set up with wonderful bouquets of flowers and anyone can take one and put it on their picnic table or take it inside the MH. They only ask that the vase be returned. There is a North and South side park and each has their rest rooms, showers and laundry with 4 each washer/dryer. It is one of the better military campgrounds we have seen.

Later this afternoon we watched some Orcas swim by.

I'm not telling - it is our secret.

Dennis was jealous that Sena was paying attention to me and not him, but I do have to say that he did have is time with her also. I think it was his deodorant. First day out we had to stop so he could buy deodorant. Can you imaging getting into someone else's car and not having deodorant on. Sheesh!
