We took a drive over the weekend and checked on a couple of our geocaches. This is Bertha Hill Lookout. It is the first one in Idaho and nearly the first in the west. The first lookout was a lady that climbed a tree to watch for fires on this hill. Check out this site: Bertha Hill Lookout -- Eyes of the Forest: Idaho's Fire Lookouts -- Outdoor Idaho (Idaho Public Television)

Here is the view:

OK, I've got a question. I'm having a terrible time with photobucket. It spins and spins when I try to edit a picture to resize it for this site. What is everyone else using to resize?

For Train Lovers...

Not sure if others knew this but saw it in the KOA rant thread:

Quote:
There's a campground in Durango, Colorado that has the train running right through the campground. People purposely go there to hear and see the train and experience its black smoke. It's difficult to get a site in the park in the summer.
To me, that's pretty intense, although where I stay in Ruskin, the tracks are literally only a couple hundred feet away and boy do those engineers love that train whistle!

We RODE that train, and waved at the campers, all the way to Silverton, and back!

Mighty fine deer stand there Dale!

Great to be home after a 6 week international trip! Water issue taken care of, weeds all cut to same height, almost looks like a well cared lawn!

Hey Marty, we have friends coming to the Fredricksburg GC. They already made reservations and will be 3 sites from us. We'll indoctrinate them when they get there.

Well said son. I mean - such depth and innocence. There is actually a rainbow in the song above ^^ and we should get her to a GC!

Edit.. addition...
I have listened / viewed a ton. All excellent.

LOL ... Steve I hope you didn't have to dig to far ... Congratulations to you and Annie for finally getting on the road. We are going to be a bit longer here in Indiana before we head to Sioux Falls and then begin heading west.

Earlene snapped this picture. There is no photo shop or tinkering with the photo. I just call it eerie. The picture was of an area that has been burned just off I-84 in Oregon.
