Last few days of moving out were not much fun (and we dodged a lawsuit), but that's a story for another time.

WELCOME all the new people, was off line for several days and FINALLY caught up tonight...

Now to get Verizon to up our data plan, wi-fi here is not good...
Welcome aboard the rainbow. Now the fun begins.

Next on the Henry Ford list might be the home in southern FL. The Fords and the Edisons spent time together there & those museums are quite interesting too.

Cheers!
PS: Do you know/play "Y'all Come"? Simple chords, but really fun lyrics.
No, don't know "Y'all Come." But you could teach me next time 'round.

You're right! The blueberries have played out. I'm sad. But nothing that yummy could grow beside the Grand River. 3 hours of paddling on pretty yucky water. My son tells me it has a rep ... When I got to some shallows, I was determined to not have to get out and pull the yak across the to deeper water. Got stuck a couple of times but never set a toe in that water. I think the rivers in the UP are much more pristine.

Wow, one day without Internet and it takes me a long time to catch up. Writer's block is not a problem with this group. Spent Friday night in Cherokee, NC after finishing the Blue Ridge. Campground was packed for the holiday weekend, and had no internet.

Was a beautiful drive down the parkway, but the trees above 4500 feet both north and south of Ashville are low hanging. A few times I must have looked like I was running an obstacle course Friday morning after the downpour, there were low clouds also. At one time I was down to 10 mph with flashers, hoping no one had stopped in the middle of the road. Drop below 4500 feet and it cleared up, then right back up into the clouds again. It was fun I tell ya

Back in TN now so SIL and BIL can take a short trip, then we will start the slow trip towards AZ. We skipped the OBX due to Hermine, just about went right over the top of them. Maybe next year.

Yesterday was a great day on the lake with two of our sons and DIL and three of our 5 grandkids. Interesting news was leaked by the 2 1/2 yo, seems #6 is on the way!

Today, back to the barn raising. Poles and trusses have been standing for several months while new grand #5 arrived, now it's time for the roof! It's only 16' sides and 22' at the peak, what's to worry about? Later muties!

In my state, they closed all the state parks for campers today and provided refunds to those that were booked past today. Not that we're expecting the storm but this state loves to show it can do things like that, just on a threat of a storm.

Can't have things discomboobilating over yer heads, now can we? Gravity might take over!

That overhead scraping is a real pain, eh? (Can't hear ya ... EH?) I'm trying hard not to imagine it.

This isn't related to the 12v wiring, then? Wotcha doin on that front? (Martin has done an incredible amount of rewiring on various coaches -- w/ me on the other end either pushing or pulling wire or a fish.)

Our 12v outlets currently won't light even the infamous rope lights, although 12v appliances & lights seem okay. Turns out, the voltage drops immediately to 7.5 or so when something is plugged in. 😲 Martin hasn't figured that out yet, so we'll ask the Thor techs to deal w/ it at the rally in October. X fingers they can. I need my ropus lightus!

Here's to fancy ceilings designed inhouse, and to upper body strength!

Cheers!

It's easy to find on a Google search, but I will look forward to sharing next time we get a chance!

Oh, yeah, shallow water! (In FL it was often over oyster beds ... always wear shoes! Hitching over those was not a viable option!) But hitching over other shallows to avoid getting out? Yup. Been there, done that!

Us Maine folk were there at the height of blueberry season. I made sorbet, a gf bb/creamcheese pie, ate them fresh, put them in yogurt, froze some, and have a gallon jug of bb brandy in the making. Grand opening of the latter is on September 9. Better hurry! Y'all come! 🤗
