Hi Marcia and Jeff!
MMDC is just one of those amazing magnets that make a trek west worthwhile!
Hugs and more hugs to the hosts and their eclectic piles of bones, to say nothing of BBLB!

Yep! I hear he's organizing an "RV Roof Surfing Party".
It wouldn't be complete without you.

We are going to bust out tomorrow. If Matthew only twitches a bit to the left we may get trapped.
We have never experienced a hurricane and wish to keep it that way!
So, we'll have a fine day with the Taylors today and start our Westward trek.

I think that's a wise choice. I've been in hurricanes before being from N.E. and those winds could toss an RV like it was an empty garbage can. I'd be doing the same thing if there was a chance of it nailing me.

Wise choice, heading West. We evacuated for Rita in 2005. We traveled 150 miles in 15 and 1/2 hours. We didn't leave in time and the traffic was horrendous. We evacuated for Ike in 2008 but we left 72 hours before landfall. Traffic was okay. I both incidents the hurricanes followed us and we were in Cat 1 hurricanes. I can assure you that with the slides in, the jacks down, the MH will rock and roll and scare you to pieces. If I had to be in anything stronger than those Cat 1's I would definitely be fearful of sever damage and possible bodily injury.

Wise choice leaving the area but do it in time to beat the traffic.

Stay safe you two.
