Well, the RVMs that I've met are gobblers. Smoked pork butt, salads of every description, and side dishes beyond description. Num, num. OH, I forgot lobstah.

We're awaiting word from the repair shop. We've stressed to the point of embarrassing ourselves that we have a "drop dead date" for it's completion. Can't wait to head to the Lone Star state. Do I hear an "Oh Yeah"?????

Di, I've always thought all the time, water and $ spent to have that lush green lawn was a waste. I know you're tired now but next summer when your neighbors are slaving over their grass you and Larry will be the envy of them all. Looks great!

Hello all !!!

Wow there was a lot of catching up to do !!!

We made it from Florissant, CO to Albuquerque, NM a long but pleasant day we settled in to the Route 66 casino just in time for supper and back before the storm clouds let loose, maybe if im lucky it'll loosen some of the bug guts off the front of the coach.

Time for a Toddy

Cheers !!!

Our friends Marty and Roe came by today. We grilled up some burgers and had a great day. They live 30 minutes away... 15 miles up AZ 101. Still setting up shop but settling in.

Got a new neighbor across the way yesterday. Another came in this afternoon behind Bonita B. So it looks like the early birds are rolling in. We haven't met anyone yet, heck, I haven't even told my cousin we're here lol.

Sitting out tonight, the wind and temp remind me of night at the beach. There's no humidity and you can't smell the ocean, but it has that tropical feel to it. Yet we're in a place where the largest patch of green grass around is the lawn bowling green here at the park.

It's a predominately park model place but I drove around the other and noticed quite a few more RV spaces mixed in among them. More than I had thought.

No wood fires... but the propane fire is ok. The pool, spa and laundry are now open 24 hours. So if I get restless at 3 am I can go swim some laps. Oh the humanity.

OK mutants - gives us the update. Where, what and whatnot.

Nice bike. I like my Florida hideout I think more than I'd like the desert. But who knows, that's today

Today I took my steps from the RV to a local shop to get them powder coated. They said around $80. I also figured out that when they were working on my RV for all that stuff prior to the Maine gathering, they had turned a switch off on my generator that even though the generator would run, no electricity went to the transfer switch. So that problem is solved

We'll give Florida a try at some point. I plan to monitor the weather around the state - south Texas and Florida this year. Not that it's predictive - but as a benchmark.

Hello all,
We are in Paso Robles, Ca. and will be working on repairs to flood damage to the
S & B. It's warm and very dry. All the plants we had on the hill have dried up
and died. We have to replace kitchen flooring, redo kitchen ceiling, and replace
upstairs toilet in the master. Going to be busy little beavers.
Will be here till Nov.6, in southern Ca. till the 13th, in L.V. till Nov.27.
Palm Springs till Dec.4. Then to Cocopah R. V. Park for 2 months.
Still getting around. We hit 33 states since Jan 18.

Steve, glad you're out on the rainbow again. Probably see you in Dec or Jan.

Be careful all, drive safe.

Steve,

Rockport, Tx holds great sentimental value for me, but little else anymore. I have dear friends in Florida who allow us to stay on their 5 acre property but the high humidity and the bugs have chased us away.

EVERYTHING mildews along the gulf coast and fire ants, fleas and mosquitos ate us up. By contrast last winter in AZ -- there are very few ants and I never found any fire ants. Maybe they need more moisture? I didn't have to give Lily any Rx flea medication and not 1 flea. No ants inside, unlike Florida where I battled them constantly. We did hear a few mosquitos in AZ, but it wasn't an every night siege like in Florida.

And for me the best part is the driving distance is 1,700 miles less from my DD's PNW home where summers are wonderful.

If you are bothered by high humidity you might want to monitor it, too. I'm excited that so many RVMs will be in Oregon next August. You'll see why I LOVE summers.
