Update on GC in Fredericksburg TX:

The RV park that can handle our size of group is:
FREDERICKSBURG KOA
5681 East US Highway 290
Fredericksburg, TX 78624
(830) 997-4796
fdbgkoa@beecreek.net

All member’s must call to make their reservations and at the time of reservation they will give you a 10% discount on the rate too.

So to make reservations you need to call (830) 997-4796. Let them know you are part of the RVMutant Rally.

There is no river that runs through or by it, but Lady Bird Johnson Park is not far away from this RV park and you can fish there. I am looking for river access for canoeing etc. too.

Currant Plans:
28 Oct. Meeting up for Wine/Beer and cheese platter’s
29 Oct. Live Music at the KOA
31 Oct. Halloween Costume Party – Dinner too

We plan to do more planning on the 28th and 29th. I have a bid coming in on a Wine Tour - they will drive us so everyone can participate that wants too.

Hmmm... Puzzle for Barb? Maybe too much blue in the sky making it too hard.

Since our time here is very short I am just keeping Sena inside or on a leash. If those neighbors are still here next Spring when we return I'll make Sena a large outdoor cage that connects to our RV via a wire tunnel. She'll hate being thwarted from exploring for bugs over greater distances, but keeping her safe from the crazy lady is more important.

Another update for those going and still considering going to Fredericksburg's GC:

Just got an email with the winery tours for groups of 10-20 people:

Group specials:
3 Winery Private Tour $79 per person plus tax
4 Winery Private Tour $99 per person plus tax (Mimosas and snacks included)

Off the Vine Wine Tours' packages consist of the following:

Scheduling/coordinating time of arrival at each winery based on availability and bookings.
Tasting fees at the wineries
Refreshing bottled water for all guest on the tour(Delicious mimosas for morning tours only)

Deposits are not necessary, but we will need a credit card on file and there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you have any questions feel free to contact me and I hope to hear back from you soon. Thank you for considering Off the Vine Wine Tours. Happy tasting!

Let me know what you all think and if that is something we want to do or do we want to go on our own.

FYI we can go on our own - average cost for wine tasting is between $12-$15 per winery.

Colleen

Beware of naming it for fear that it will want a more permanent tenure. I'm as surprised by the color of the grass as I am by Stinky's coloring. Is that snow or heavy frost? Already?

I guess you didn't notice the time - it was just after midnight so that's night vision mode Dark colors (green grass) become bright colors.

When I first set those cameras up I was amazed at how much MORE stuff I see at night compared to the day. Bugs stand out like little LED's flying through the sky, anything with eyes immediately light up, when I run my dryer in the house the exhaust vent makes it looks like a storm outside, fun stuff to watch but then again, I'm pretty easy to entertain in that regard.

We discovered in the Napa Valley that if you guaranteed that you were going to buy a bottle or two or three, that the tasting fee would vanish like magic. Winery likes to get something from each visitor. Thus the "tasting fee" to keep it from being a total freeby for folks who have no intention of ever buying a bottle from them.

l vote for a trailmaster to lead 3 -4 packed vehicles to 2 or 3 wineries. Group outing, group fun, lower expense. We'll drive. Room for 4. See all of you on the 31st.

We bought in Fredericksburg and I am buying again from our favorite winery while there. But no tasting fees ever vanished lol and I bought a lot of wine lol. I bought for friends who knew what they wanted.

Napa seems more friendly that way then Fredericksburg.

I guess I join you in the easy to entertain dept. I need a better night vision camera. The one on my back up camera isn't nearly as much fun. Of course I just spent the last 2 hours disassembling the black tank gate valve. ANYTHING and everything not connected to that chore seems entertaining.
