Call this justice, karma or stupid luck, but I've spent the best part of the past 2 weeks at deer camp hunting for a good 8pt deer. This morning at S&B I look out from back deck and spot this 8 pt. You can see the rail of my deck in the picture. At one point it laid down then finally got up and jumped the gate and walked off into the woods.

Ok for you Bambi lovers let me remind you, since I looked it up, that deer hunters are saving human lives. There are 200 deaths annually due to auto/deer collisions and $1.1 billion in insurance claims. So the next time you see a hunter, give them a hug! Well in your case Wayne maybe just a handshake!

Tim, I think you missed the picture where he was flipping you a hoof!

Next time we meet it's tongue time! (I'll stick mine out at you and you can reciprocate in kind.) Ah, you thought it was going to be different, eh?

Steve,
This picture if for you. It is the oyster dressing in preparation of going into the oven. Half of it will stay here in the house with the other half going to family dinner. If you hurry, you can still make it.

But what about the 700 accidental deaths during hunting every year? Sorry Huntnski, I couldn't resist.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Happy Thanksgiving to the whole fam damily. May your turkey be plump & juicy, the dressing moist & tasty, and pies the best ever.

Me, I'm about done with turkey, at least the 19# version. Martin wants Brussels sprouts, and I'd rather have Swiss chard ... no green bean casserole. 'Druther have popovers than rolls, a whole sweet potato than casserole, and pie doesn't even tempt. Might as well emigrate, eh?

Can we take a nap anyway? I'll be thankful for a fire in the fireplace.

Thanks Sue. I now have another non mickey mouse reason to visit Florida.

When we were all in Casa Grande last winter I spent more than a couple of days parked along east main St at or near South Peart Rd watching the multitude of multiple engine lash-ups hauling freight either east or west and at great speed.
