It's so quiet here, I assume it's all family & other gatherings. Party hardy, RVMs! It's a day of freezing rain & drizzle here. Nobody goes anywhere out here where neither salt nor sand seems to bother the roads, not if they're either smart or in an emergency! Cheers!

Now. Will it be the eggnog or the Maine blueberry brandy?

Sue... you must amend your siggy line if you now have 2 kitties which go with you places....

Been cooking. It's a real royaL pain out there today... 5 degrees and the salt/sand ain't doing much. Layer of ice under the &n*w... so glad I didn't have critter care duties today or tomorrow! I have been out caring for other's critters in this kind of weather... getting there and back usually takes the longest... chores are fast and easy... everyone cooperates in this weather. Sometimes the water spigots don't cooperate, and that takes a little extra time. Looks from the map Florida is the place to be about now!

Cooking always seems an antidote to lousy weather. Stews, cookies, comfort foods.... Even ice cream. (But not caramel popcorn.)

Yup. Forgot I wasn't up to date. Thanks.

I've been in a cooking mode also. Wednesday made a bazillion chocolate chip cookies, mini pork-chicken meat loves, quinoa beet salad & black beans. Thursday made veggie potstickers, asian cucumber salad & fried rice, Friday made mini pumpkin pies plus pumpkinickle bead, & green bean casserole. Today I intended to make fettuccine , but got over it. Game day tomorrow--Maybe I'll make pasta monday......

GO CHIEFS!!!!

Oh, wait until you see Junior!

Does Junior HAVE to come to the GC? He's so content here in Vegas & he's such a trouble maker.......

The question is.... can you trust Junior alone in Vegas... I know he's done it before. But he's been looking like he's up to something on FB...

You've got me beat, Colleen! And Marty probably does too.

Oh you just reminded me! Tiny mince pies are an English Christmas tradition I happen to like, and I haven't even made the mincemeat. Better get busy!

Also, there are all the black walnuts my snazzy, nifty Texas nut picker- upper picked up this fall. They all need to visit the bench vise in the (unheated!) garage to make ready for picking. (Martin doesn't like them -- more for me!)

Well, if I don't have a junior Malone, I sure have his 1st cousin.

We'll be there.

It's so nice to have one friend and he brings us bags of shelled walnuts from his yard every year. So nice of him to shell them for us.

Also oranges each year, and lemons the size of oranges. Makes for some good juices.
