I ask these questions only because hot springs is known for this and so much more
There used to be a good pottery in town, too, and a building full of miniature trains.

Can't wait!

Huntnski you being from down razorback way, do you know if we can boat or jet ski at cl? Just wondering. Don't think we'll drag a toad down there, so I could bring some skis along.

Don -
Better bring the wetsuit. Temps in 60's - water temp?? I'm going to give the place a call next week and will check into this as well.

There is a link to Hot Springs Weather on www.rvmutants.com

Good to hear from you!

X2 on the wet suit, water will be cold, may throw a wrench in our planning the GC Triathelon, or as Dave suggested The Drowning Competition!

I'll have to admit I've never launched a boat on this lake! There are 3 other lakes in the nearby area that we fish, boat, ski and dive at and only time I've been near this one was with a troop of scouts during dead of winter many years ago. I do know its fished quit a bit but I can't catch a fish in a bucket so any report from me on fishing this lake would be worthless!

The yakkers might like it and if we could get some of them to give lessons (hint, hint) the failed attempts might be entertaining.

I shower also but at the bath house it is so nice it takes away just about any pain and getting the drinking water from down town don't hurt ether. can you tell we love hot springs. we have found no other place that beats it yet.

My vote in the Midwest would go to Lanesboro, MN. The Root River is grand and no standing water (no skeeters!). Had family reunions there for many years.

There are a few good Hot Springs up here. Ainsworth is one. They have a cave system you can float through. Click image for larger version

No skeeters is important...for us it would depend on the time. The later in the summer the farther we migrate from the southwest to the northern Midwest.
