WOW that park was too tight for comfort! But Hunter got us out of there without hitting anything. On the road again.

We knew what to look for, but missed actual moonrise because the danged thing rose beyond the little house across the street. It was 2 or 3 fingers above the horizon when I leaned over a bit & saw it between a rig and the little house. Blinded by the light!

At that point only a comet could have impressed me more. The shadow was only over the left 1/3 and rather subtle, disappearing so gradually that you couldn't see it leave.

Missed the comet. And the spaceship. 😐 But the company was grand. 😀

I got a call from Barb at Pima County Fairgrounds RV Park. There has been a mistake made with the date of our arrival. A school group is booked in the event space where we want to be on the night of 2/18. Barb is most apologetic for this wrinkle.

So, we need to delay the start of the GC until Sunday, 2/19. If you would like to arrive on the 18th they can put you in another site for 1 night or you can dry camp the night of the 18th.

PLEASE let me know your plans or call Barb at 520-762-9100 (you may have to ask for the RV park) ASAP.

Good one, Dave! Of course, the ponds aren't frozen where most of the active ponders happen to be. So what's your excuse guys?

Barb - I'm paid up here in Benson for Feb. So rolling over on the 19th is fine by me. I may even roll back here for a week or so following the GC.

Although, I just learned that some friends of ours are in Casa Grande until April 1st. And, apparently I need to go to El Cajon... all the cool mutants are doing it! (Omms Colleen and Hunter.... and hugs).

Just enjoying the Palm Springs area. Depending on my dental stuff, hopefully I'll be in Tucson sometime during the GC!

Lily learned that rattlesnakes bite her neck this morning. No, not the actual snakes but the shock collar that Jim, the trainer from Viper Avoidance, put on her.

It only took one shock and even my stubborn, "I love everything" Lily would not go within 10 feet those monsters. The cost of the training was only $80 and took less than 10 minutes.

Now, not only is she better protected, but so am I since she'll be able to smell them from a safe distance. If we're out walking and she won't go a direction, neither will I. Of course that means she'll get carried a lot less from now on.

R U an RV Mutant too?

After 5 yrs. on the road living in our coach it's time to clean out & donate. This shows just one of our bays.
4 hours, 3 large bags of junk, 1 to donate.
Many were stored (hoarded) empty containers of.....air!
Nola says " Now the inside!"
(Yikes)
