Bokobird and Mac would have had a wonderful time if they could have gotten into the restaurant.

Wow, they sure would have. I wonder what Mac's reaction would have been seeing those pretty Macaws

After having such a swell time out in the desert, I was really aching for some heat and water-related views so went for a motorcycle ride today and enjoyed the Florida warmth and views it has to offer.

Found a nice parking spot in a park on Anna Maria Island (about 40 minutes south of where I stay):

It had some nice beach views...

Wound up going down a road that dead-ended at a yacht club, didn't see anything like this in AZ:

But I guess you might see one like this there:

Riding in AZ

When I was out in AZ, my first motorcycle ride was to

It has an endless number of these:

Size:	487.2 KB
ID:	153563

Lots of little pull-offs and areas to explore such as this one:

Size:	591.3 KB
ID:	153564

Here's a view of the entry to it, the main road is on the right:

with views of Tucson and surrounding areas:

On another ride going back to PCFG, this shot just reminds me of so many roads in that area:

Size:	397.4 KB

So for my next big ride, I went to an even more interesting park with those big green things sticking out of the ground:

Name:	IMG_2647.jpg
Views:	68
Size:	550.7 KB

As the mountain I was climbing was much taller than the other park, the views were spectacular:

I continued past this height maybe another 500 feet in elevation, but despite these rumors that it's warm in AZ during winter months, I was ill-prepared clothing-wise and was really freezing which prevented me from exploring the very top:

Riding in AZ part 2

I've reached the maximum number of attachments so here's a couple more shots that didn't make the last post. This shows how long a road seems to go out there (be sure to click the pictures to see the larger version):

All I can say is it got hotter and hotter the further away from AZ I got! Today I'm in the type of element I like - I can still go outside in a t-shirt at this hour of the night

Not yet but ever so close... 4 days left. The closing is Monday afternoon.
With freezing Temps here it's difficult to move into the RV early. We are packing and purging, the last loads to the DD will be this weekend.

Yesterday we went off-road for 20 miles near Ajo.

Woot! Bet you thought it'd never get here. That loading in the cold ain't no fun, & you have the whole thing to load, but we know how it is, cuz we do it every year. You have my sympathy!

Can you park close to the house? That makes it so much easier than having to haul stuff to a rig that's in a storage ysrd somewhere.

Oh yeah, another thing ... you FTers only have to do this once, unless/until you buy a new rig. 💃🕺🖒

Now, where's the party?! Cheers!

Oh yeah! The bloooms are gorgeous, but the saguaro ribs are amazing. I have a few pieces from a cg (not poached from desert) and they are like uncut lumber. No wonder folks have found so many uses for them down the centuries.

They're cheaper than Lowe's, too. 😉
