This is a new Cherokee Trail Hawk. The dealer says it's trail rated up there with a Rubicon. The advantage is 1) drives like an SUV 2) gas mileage is great 20 mpg 3) can go anywhere off road. Plus I love the edgy look... And it drives great.

Wingennis, Welcome to the rainbow baby girl. Oh, sorry, you are a year younger than my daughter, that's what I call her. I apologize.

I've got to know. What is that clutching your right arm in your profile picture? I'm the exotic animal person here at RVM central, and that appears to be something exotic. My iPad won't give me a good enough look.

It will be nice to have a fresh young female perspective here. Welcome aboard.

That's a nice looking vehicle!

My car is currently on the flat bed of a wrecker on the way to have the frame checked. The center post is bent backward and the bottom rail is pushed in pretty far - I'm not optimistic on it being straight.

My criteria for a vehicle - AWD or 4WD, decent mileage, tows four down, holds three little people and two adults and cargo and looks OK. Decent electronics, good audio and comfortable seats. The Honda hit all but the last part - those seats are awful for long trips. I drive 30 miles each way to work, over a mountain pass, often in foggy weather, so fog lights are a must also. Good handling, and horses to burn. The Honda had no horsepower in reserve.

It's kind of surreal to be thinking about another car. The reason we got a new one is that we got 0% financing and bought the car for dealer cost. I don't think we'll get that deal again.

Everyone that has NOT turned off that pesky spell-check, raise your hands.

Everyone that can spell better than that pesky spell-check, raise your hands.

I rest my case.

Nice ride Herb, does it have differential lock front and back?

Also welcome any mutants I haven't said welcome to already! I'll be taking care of all the membership payments, just get those cashiers checks or money orders sent to .........

Ok so there is no fees, but I do think I would make a good con man! One has to set goals, regardless of how low!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEE

You'd never guess that I'm in HOG HEAVEN!!! When we bought our MH it had been sitting for 6 yrs and I knew that there were going to be problems, but nothing that money couldn't fix. $2300 for the mechanic and parts to get the engine running. $XXXX for six new tires, don't remember the price as they were bought in pairs. New roof, 2 new AC's and new vents and covers. But enough about history. Neither heater worked, the 35,000 BTU was easy to fix - just dis-assemble it and put in a new gas solinoid and it works like a swiss clock but the one in the bedroom was a different story - frozen motor and a bad PC board. Gonna cost $300.00 for a $500.00 heater so it didn't get fixed. The bedroom heater is a 25,000 BTU and the main one is 35,000 BTU. I went on eBay and bid on a 42,000 BTU, which is the same physical size, and got it. It came in about 1 1/2 weeks ago but I had other fires to put out like naps, model railroading and reading. Today was the day of reconening. Before going over to Lowes, I tried the heater and the blower worked. When I got back I found my spare Propane hose and hooked it up. That thing PUTS OUT HEAT like you would not believe. Tomorrow is oil bearing day and take it to the muffler shop to true up the air vents for the heat chamber. I should get this project done at least in another week (needs lots of pondering). After I retired I have trouble getting in a hurry to get something done. I's gots lots 'o time to thinks.
