Normally I would ask you if you are bragging or complaining, but I have been on the eatin' end of Nola's cooking -- so I'm jealous.

We have landed in Idanha after a harrowing drive. It was SNOWING hard over Santiam pass and another pass whose name I can't recall. Turns out that I missed a turn in the snow and ended up taking an extra 100 mile detour. The good part is I stumbled onto the cheapest gas in the state. ($2.27)

Be glad that the eclipse is in August. It's raining and 46 degrees here today. Laurie said they had a really tough winter with lots more snow than normal. The roof on one of their park models caved in under the load.

BTW I am the first Mutant to own one of the River Mountain eclipse tee shirts. You will want one!

Anyone have anything you want me to find out?

The hippie theme is like cool with me, man. Far out!

I think we should just plan to have wine and cheese on the first "official" evening and just sit down together and decide on a plan together. That seemed to work well in Tucson.

Laurie says we can use paper plates, but not styrofoam. We'll need to burn them in our campfires. Also, non burnables like cutlery will need to be separated from the burnable stuff. Oregon is quite fond of it's landfill space.

Wow that was some missed turn. Glad you made it. It is cold here too today with lots of rain.

I take it that you have good Verizon reception since you are posting on here. I was wondering about that. How many t-shirts does she have? Should we call and reserve ours? What color are they? Post a pic please.

About the snow over this last winter - that's true all over. I've seen so many caved in roofs on building around are town and we had lots of trees come down. One day, we had to cut out two just to get to my doc appointment. Dale thru in the chain saw at the last minute and I'm glad he did or we wouldn't have made it.

The tee shirts are black with the eclipse photo that is at the bottom of the linked page and the words River Mt RV Park on the front.

River Mountain RV Park | Idanha, detroit lake, sisters, river mt rv

For those of you who fish -- Jim knows all the fishing holes on Detroit Lake, but there are not any fishing guide services that he knows of. BUT ..... fish are stocked at the bridge over the Santiam River that you have to cross to get to the RV park. Laurie keeps a path mowed down to a special spot that many of the newly released trout hang out in. Right now the river is really high and running fast, but by August it's tame enough to wade in.

Jim works at Detroit Lake and all 400+ campsites there were booked for the eclipse date, August 21st, within 2.5 minutes on the first day the automated online system would accept reservations. Is this a hot ticket or what?

It's huuuuuge! What I like is how smart we mutants were to begin the planning for this so early on. I'm starting to notice new threads here that talk about it and the realization for some that places are being booked up. I'm so looking forward to the RVMooning...

Well, it's not like we are boon docking... we do have full hookups there, except for you I believe... I'd be happy to let you do your dishes in my rig....

Ok, so which of you old hippies know how to do tie-dye shirts?

What do we need?
Shirts? Rubber bands? Tubs? Dye? Different colors?

Note these are all questions cause I'm to young to know how this is done!

Moon Over Bonita Bounder... Note the position of the yellow pole. This is where it belongs. "Before backing into a site, always look directly at trees, yellow poles, boulders and such and with a firm voice say, Stay". These words are taken directly from the Ancient RVM Scrolls.
