Explore as you can. We had loads and loads of weekends, holiday weekends, and two week vacations in our RV of choice at the time. Tent, pop-up, trailer, and finally a motor home. We hope you're able to escape ahead of schedule.

Guess what we were doing today. Dale had to turn the power off at the pole until they were through. There were old buildings to miss and power lines but in the end it looks great.

This was out our back door!

TIM.........

BER!!!!!!!

They took all the big trees down that were close to the house.

Wow... you could build a shed with that! Or a deer stand exhibit for Tim to visit... nice job Dale. Hopefully you're feeling better having felled the tree.

The Papaw bears had chicken fried steak... both of us having lived many years in Texas, we have had much better. I do think CFS is a southern thing and certainly a Texas Thang.

Saw a bumper sticker on a Jeep awhile back - it said... There is no Jeep Thang.

Southern? I've never lived in TX and used to have CFS a lot in the NW. We have a place here that the steak hardly fits on the large plate, then add Idaho mashed potatoes and country gravy. Yumm...

Now Bite Size Steak, that is another matter. It supposedly started in the NW.

That one was a small one. Dale was smart and had some loggers come in and do them. That is why we still have a house and yes TIM, the house is still up right. Some were very close to it. They did an excellent job dropping them. The neighbor could feel the ground shake all day.

Chicken fried steak? As a " foreigner" I would like to know what is this chicken fried steak. There does not appear to be any chicken involved. Can you have steak fried chicken?
CFS looks very much like Wiener Schnitzel and that leads me on to my favourite: Veal Holstein - a WS topped with anchovies and a fried egg. To die for!

We have a habit of sneaking up on you two. Once in Kerrville, once in Marana, and now... lol. We're sneaky.
