Love the clam chowder there.

Did you drive/walk around and see the sea lions? There is one boat ramp a little ways from the pier that the boaters have to shoo the sea lions out of the way to launch their boat.

Are they there? Are they aware of it?

That was actually the worst I have seen in. But yes. They are there. And I suppose aware.

I saw water under their coach the first day. But didn't see an actual drip. So wasn't sure. When we got back from Bandon it was 9:30 pm but I could see it was even more wet but dark enough I couldn't tell what was up. Any way after two days of being pretty sure he was leaking, today I saw it flowing like crazy. The comes out and I say... you got a water leak there. He says... the tanks full. Walks over and pulls the handle.

I'm thinking, huh???

He was an interesting cat. Wife, him, 2.5 year old girl and an older boy.

This is how we spent our day. Seven hours of tending a campfire. Five of it in the rain. We sat under our awning about 15 feet from the fire. We had a routine for our fire tending. Find the dryest pieces of wood. Use fire starter paks to ignite the fire. Lean wet wood up against the fire ring. Add to the fire as needed. Repeat the process for 7 hours.

We watched robins bathing near the riverbank. We saw brook trout leaping to capture insects. Listened to the rippling water. Tough duty but someone has to do it.

Steve and Mary Ann, this gives me a flashback to when we had land for our escapes in Wisconsin.
Your approach to a campfire in the rain is spot-on! Salute! [emoji106]

As long as these two spaces remain empty... we'll have a cheap apartment waterfront view. Won't last long. Lol.

The wind was up a bit when we came in. It's laid down now and nice out. Such a small piece of someone else's real estate provides a great deal of comfort and satisfaction.

Annie made a chef salad and we're having sourdough bread we picked up in Reedsport the other day. The sourdough would be enough! Oh man.
