R U an RV Mutant too?

RiverMt report:
Spent 3 nights in La Pine with good friends (future RVMs).
1st night, mouse shreds TP under the sink! Trap set.
2AM, I go to pee, WHAP, mouse totaled, has no insurance!
Suspect it was a RiverMt stowaway.
RVM1-1. Meeses-0
We are back at RiverMt, 5 nights!
5 traps set.

Greeting, again, Mutants all!

We are in Medford, Oregon, preparing (planning to sleep) to move tomorrow. Yesterday we went to Crater Lake. It really is as impressive as claimed, although the smoky haze did interfere with the visibility and photo opportunities.

We are planning to be in Juniper Reservoir RV park tomorrow for a few days, then onward across the country to return to Florida.. Just traveling.................. riding the rainbow.

Incidentally, we are still holding at 11 DOA's. None found in the bays and none inside. Maybe we're home free.

Tom

I should be at Campbellville Kentucky but may move to Shepardsville if I can get a firm start date.

Spent the day driving have not sampled the cheese, that is on tomorrow's agenda.

Have been joined by 10 other RV's, popular place.

Well, you ought to finish clearing out the invasion for her! Are ya in the same spot? Did the tree jump again? Did ya get yer curb feelers on in time to avoid a nasty meeting with that tree? Inquiring minds need to know!

Hey Tom.
So you're reigning and still champion of Mouse Dispatching! Congratulations!!

Saw the pics on FB of the smoke at Crater Lake. As you said... still gorgeous.

I'm trying to figure our way to Az without traveling or staying in too much heat, too soon. It's actually hot here in Kennewick Washington. Next stop is currently Baker City Or. Still hot but a little cooler.

I think I discovered how the mouse got into my bays in Idanha -- the port in the sewer bay. I don't have enough 3" sewer hose to reach the sewer there so I just connected a garden hose, stuffed some copper scrubber around the 4" opening and opened the gray tank valve. You see Sena can turn on the kitchen faucet and overflow the gray tank which means water comes up in the shower which is full of stuff.

I didn't have enough scrubber to get a good seal around the hose and that lone mouse found it's way in. At least I hope that's how it happened because that would mean I solved that problem today and no more critters will get in. Keep your fingers crossed.

Anyone traveling in the Baker City, Oregon area -- do not miss the BLM Oregon Trail Interpretative center just north of the city. It is amazing! It's the best I've seen and you should not miss it! From the top of the hill you can see the wagon wheel ruts that still mark the land.

So tell me all you Mooners, what's the deal with the battle of the mice ? Was the place over run with them or were they just looking for warm places for the winter ? Those of us that couldn't make it would love to know. ...

Tom
It was great to see y'all again and I think I posted, or attempted to post ( this was at the time my phone started acting up) that in the event I tied or passed you on DOA's I would go down in mutant history with an asterisk *with traps supplied by Tom and Jan. Still holding at 10.

I couldn't have said it better! Now David, I think the jumping tree syndrome gravitate around you so leave me out of this.

Jeff I interviewed all the mice I caught, all but one had their mouths slammed shut and not talking. The other one was taking the trap and bagging it against the backside of the cabinet door. It sounded like a Grizzly so questioning was out of the question! Maybe Steve can shed some light on it, he would catch his alive then torture them to death.
Regardless the reason, many of us had mice problems dispite our efforts to block them out. You and Marcie were missed, it's been years since we've seen you.

Hey Tim ....

Well we really wanted to be with you all, but it just wasn't possible, although we did get to mini-c with Papaw and Mary Ann as they passed through Michigan which was great fun and filled with laughter and great stories. If the drama with my family settles down we really hope to attend a GC out west this winter we will be in AZ and CA for most if not all of the winter.

Cheers !!!

Does it count as Full-Timing if you're living in your driveway???

It's a great day in the neighborhood !!!

Zoom Zoom reporting back in after a week of Hurricane Harvey: First off, "The Journey is the Destination," fer shur. We didn't make it out in time, the floodwaters rose so fast. Boats offered to get us out, but we evacuated upstairs to 2nd floor for a couple days, and since then have been living in RV in driveway. Hence my question, Does this count as Full-Timing? Please see my post elsewhere about on-the-ground help if you are so inclined. We could really use it in Baytown, the Exxon town 1/2 hour east of Houston.

A perfect storm for mice...
Climate conducive to early breeding. Fires and smoke herding them toward Tom and Jan. River right there in the park acts as natural barrier. They don't have small kayaks to cross to other side. Lots of things in their favor except... they ran into the RV Mutant Mouse Extermination Squad.

I knew Steve could tell it like no one else!

The sequel book could be...The Mice at River Mountain!

zoom zoom... Wonder if Dwayne and Shera are still down there doing their thing... they have been busy rescuing folks with their 'Disabled VeteransOutddor Adventures' Jeep... They usually take vets for a ride on Jeeping trails... but have been in the houston area up to the tranny in water hauling folks out...
