I may be the oddball here however I don't really understand all the worry about depreciation on our RV's. I bought the 3 year old RV that my wife and I liked at a good (I think) price...take care of it as best I can...keep it clean...have a nice 3 year old one ton Diesel that I'm having a lot of fun with...go camping about 5 weeks per summer until upcoming retirement...enjoy doing my own preventative maintenance...no biggy cleaning da pooper...load it up with some good eats...a few bottles of my favorite evening Hoppy beverage...some marshmallows...and on and on and on...............LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!:wh istling:

I know our fun will have a cost at one point or another...no big deal. If folks are that hung up on "depreciation" maybe they need to rethink the whole thing over again before they go RVing.

Gotta go...wife needs to get her portable ice maker out of our 5er for a small party at home

BTW...what the heck is depreciation????????????

ALSO...MY DEAR OL' MOM USED TO SAY.....

"ENJOY WHAT IS...BEFORE IT ISN'T..."!!!

Smart woman my mom

At Jurassic Quest what a great time. Wish my grandkids were closer they would love. Lots of little kid activities if in your local fair grounds be sure to enjoy. Then of course had to watch Jurassic Park World. Thank you finally figured out the pic thing.

I had the hospice nurse come out today. She thinks that he either fractured some ribs or the muscle pulled away from the ribs or both. Either way, there is nothing we can do for it. He is getting some pain med to help control his level but he is still having lots of pain. The nurse threatened him (in fun of course) that if he falls again, she will send the PT out. He doesn't want that at all. Even with his pain, he still has a sense of humor. The nurse is due in Jan with a baby girl. Dad keeps telling her to take care of that boy.

Hate that it takes so long for healing as we get older ugh. But as older we do seem to have time, a good book works great. Plus busy grandkids hep. He seems to have a great attitude so one step in front of the other you will arrive.

Woodpecker Song

My 6th grade teacher announced on a Monday that we would have the use of a record player on Friday and we'll let everyone bring in a 45 to play. I went through my brothers records and found this song but I remember it being a different singer. I was sent to the office and my Dad had to bring me back the next day. The only red-faced person was Mrs. Smith.

Hey Don,

We are headed that general direction eventually to Quartzsite for the winter, but I'm not quite sure of the exact dates, yet. That's the beauty of boondocking - no reservations required. We leave OKC about 11/12 headed to Phoenix. We might be able to catch up to you after Casa Grande.

It would be fun to mini-C with you and Sandee again!

That is too funny and I'm sure very scandalous in it's day! So what was your Dad's reaction?

His reaction to the school?...Boys will be boys. My Dad was so great and influenced the tough attitude in my Brother and I. We both turned out OK and have been good providers. He had a tough upbringing.
