True that. it was in the thirties here last 2 nights, but will be in the forties
next 2 nights. Heading south Wednesday, into Oklahoma Wednesday/Thursday then into Texas. Headed west again on the 27th, &
should be in Yuma Saturday Dec.2.

Definitely time to head to warmer weather.

Be careful all.

We're in (well, west of) Golden Valley somewhat west of Kingman AZ for the week. A bit of traffic noise but much better than the F-15s in Las Vegas...
Supposed to hit the Yuma campground for the winter on December 1st, but since we only have about 2 more stops on the way, we may see if we could arrive earlier. Plan to go through Phoenix and stop at the RV salvage to see if they might happen to have a replacement for my door...

Did somebody say campfire?!

Somebody has to convince Martin that boondocking is a good idea ....!

Thanks for that sunrise & salute, Eyephoto. Well done!

Y'know, Champaign Co. isn't *that* far away. How long are you at Carlyle?

We stayed a week or so in Golden Valley last spring, west of town. Not a bad place, & plenty of desert walking available. I'd go back.

Checking in. Been offline a while, hardly even murking. Bad mutant! Still home on the hill, chillin. Fire in fireplace, a real one, with the wood that warms you twice. 😉 Looking forward to the winter & seeing mutants again.

That weekend was our last outing of the season, MAYBE. I will be winterizing this week, and catching up on tweek repairs, ie: ceiling light in bedroom needs to be replaced, vacuum floor heater vents.
We have our '18 camping schedule planned out. The long trip is the Bourbon trail at the end of May.

Imperial Dam BLM is on the California side of the Colorado river so I've never been there. But when I boondock near Yuma I go to an area closer to town. Behind the VFW hall on US 95 is a smaller BLM site that is free. It lacks the amenities of the long term visitor area (LTVA) and only allows a 14 day stays.

Somehow I can’t envision a boondocking GC

Well, Barb, You are up early! Still on Central time in your head?

Some of us like the challenge of Boondocking. But I can only go about 3 days until I need to find a dump site and more clean water...
I'm probably not going to be doing any camping in '18 until after July or August heat has passed. If I do, it will be close to home type stuff. Not planning any long travel trips for camping.

It's not my clock that didn’t get reset. You can blame Lily and Sena for that. I need to get driving soon anyway. Today is Roswell, NM
