I really thought of you when I was eating the first, second, and third helping. Tonight we go to son's house and have left overs. So happy Earlene makes a great big pan of Oyster Dressing - it's on the menu again tonight.

Hmmm! Wonder how the air fryer fried oysters would go with that.

Hey Wayne! Today the IP will be making your famous farting clam chowdah. Can't wait!

I ate half the leftover dressing for a midnight snack. Mmm-mmmm! Creme brle again tonight, Tim. C'mon over!

No coma for me... I learned several years back to just take a little bit of everything I can have (which is surprising little of the traditional meal cooked the traditional way...milk in the mashed potatoes, flour in the gravy, no stuffing of course unless it happens to be a quinoa stuffing, green bean casserole has canned soup with milk and flour in it... you get the drift)... eat all Of what I can, and if I still feel compelled, wait a bit and have a just a little bit more... I'm so less grouchy when I feel better and not overstuffed and not sleepy from too much turkey or other stuff... I did indulge in just a little bit of sugar yesterday. It was a holiday after all...

I just finished a large bowl yesterday. Cooked up a batch for my Brother and his DW. They are from New England and he said it was good. She doesn't like clams - go figure.

So what are your plans for today? Anyone doing anything exciting?

Me? I'm installing a 50’ overhead trolley line so Lily can be outside with us and not get tangled in her leash. Then I'm going to rake the gravel and sand smooth so I can lay down the patio rug and then probably take a nap. Exciting, huh?

So do y'all also use an air fryer? (If you live in the south, everything is fried, right? Pickles, Oreos, Mars Bars ....)

Cooking and preparing to cook for tomorrow's Thanksgiving celebration at our house. Sunday worked best for DD's families.

Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, rolls, apple pie, lemon cake, cherry delight.

Painting the frames I bought for Di's beautiful paintings. 3 coats, at least, of gloss white. Looks like I might need to buy another can to cover the wood grain of the frames. I have all of the mounting supplies. I'll post the finished work when I'm done mounting the pictures.

Gonna burn the weed garden to see if I can get ahead on next year...then when it's all out and cold, toss a thick winter coat on it of spoiled hay. Never mind that it's almost 60 outside....I've thought about starting lettuce inside and putting up my hoops and plastic for it to get a head start on salad fixings...but too much other stuff demanding my attention....like holiday prep.(I try to do a thorough cleaning prior to putting decor up)

Food! Fire! How much more excitement does a body need?! Both together?

Now that "thorough cleaning" ... not so much.

I'm with you Sue on the cleaning - but we're pretty happy with the new Shark! It's almost self propelled.

So I took my BIL to the airport today. We did just what we always did. Chilled. James took advantage of the hot tub. And it was good see him again. Fran and Bob joined us for Thanksgiving and we all ate too much.

No pics except James and Bob...

Well, I put the fire out, while it may have been not too windy for Bob to fly, Down on the ground it seemed scary, I was too leery by myself and thought it might be a better project for 2 people to manage than just me n the hose... It kept crawling toward my hay bales, and so I rolled them out of the way, but I think 2 pairs of eyes will be a better option than just mine.
