As a mutant, I have decided to change my Avatar for the holidays. I hope it meets with mutant approval, as I believe it is in the true mutant spirit.

The person who wrote this is definitely going to make it to Mutantville.
I now need a new laptop keyboard because of you lot. Computer keyboards do not like drool, quit posting turcon pictures (in any variation) as I my getting hungry and its only 10:00ish in the morning.

A slight change of plans - using the grill to finish the pork shoulder and keep the bird warm. Low flame under pork - no other burners on. Pork internal temp now 151 degrees and will be ready at 160. So far so good.

Dennis - i don't anticipate posting more pics until leftover time. You should be good by then. The letter reminds me of the munchkin mutants in the Wizard of Oz.... Not merely dead - she's really quite sincerely dead!

Will You Declare Me an RV Mutant??

Hello All!

And Happy Last Thursday of November! That is my homage to Turkeys, who never did me harm, and thus, is one reason I don't celebrate the holiday anymore. The other reasons are neither here nor there...

However, if I may declare myself a person who believes life is on the Rainbow where the Journey is the Destination, AND that in my 2010 25' Winnie Class C I have no slides, no dinette....oh! and no DH. None of these things I miss. The husband's still around...for now...but not invited into my MH

I do have 3 Tiny Dogs, which when we travel together are referred to as The Tiny Dog Parade....especially when they are joined by their 2 cousins...making 5 marching along. They belong to my DD who did come with me on my new-to-me MH's long debut trip in September. I have just purchased it in June, and haven't yet taken a long trip by myself...but will next year, as DD is starting grad school in January.

I did read the first 12 or so pages of the start of this thread, and especially enjoyed the musical portion of that journey. I am not a musician, however I love music...especially Blues. You all picked some very entertaining musical pieces to share

Other things about me: I am a professional pet sitter, a vegetarian, an atheist, and am a long-time volunteer for the Pets of the Homeless organization.

My MH is currently at Camping World getting 2 MaxxFans installed, and some wheel liners with extended valve stems on the duallies.

I found I was unable to fill up my tires with air without the aid of a mechanic with a large compressor due to the fact that the inside dually valves were inaccessible. Winnebago says "That's Ford's fault." Ford says "We don't carry extenders."
My AC is unable to cool down my rig here in AZ to a tolerable temperature in the summer without freezing up. So, I discovered MaxxFans and am hoping that with their "Use as a ceiling fan" feature I can assist the AC, and get rid of the useless, noisy bathroom fan, and the also useless, un-openable vent on the cab-over at the same time.

I hope the above doesn't disqualify me as a Mutant, as I usually only spend money on things that will either A) keep me from going on a trip, or B) stop me once I'm on said trip.

So what do you all say? Am I an RV Mutant?

Mutantness is really a self-declaration. Do you feel like an RVM?

Traveldogs - I fear I must be brief - as. It time to eat the bird that you no longer eat - and is quite fine with mutants who know that means more them. That said - you have met all requirements in your well written quest to become an RV Mutant. You are hereby awarded RVM63!

Mutants - when the turkey emzme wears off and you awaken - please welcome traveldogs - RVM63. Off the table now.

Traveldogs, you have met the qualifications to become a mutant and thus receive your official RVM# and I'm sure either our Grand Poobah aka Campdaven or our Most Illustrious Potentate aka flaggship will be along shortly to confer upon you the "official" welcome with all rights and privileges therein. They are no doubt still wallowing in the gravy boat so to speak. Let me be the first to welcome you to our side of the rainbow.

RVM #31 OUT

Hi there traveldogs! Proud to have you aboard the Rainbow, you sick twisted RVM.

#63 you are. Wear it proudly as you travel about RVMdom!

Someone will likely provide you with shameless promotion for our Grand Curiosity this coming April. However, your path will cross that of other RVMs and you will have the joy of a Mini-Curiosity.

So adios and Happy Trails RVM63.

Well I guess it is time for another shameless plug for the upcoming, first ever, Grand Curiosity to be held in Hot Springs, AR next April 24th-30th at Catherine's Landing RV Park. We have a fantastic "special rate" of $28/day lakeside or $26/ day interior space at this beautiful and pretty new park on the banks of Lake Catherine. All it takes to pick your space is contact me and select from available slots then call the park and put up one days deposit which is fully refundable up to three days before the event. Also go to our website at rvmutants.com and click on events tab and fill out the info sheet then submit it.

If you can join us we would love to have you come to what promises to be a day of reckoning for all mutants. So be there or be...

Hi Cindy Traveldogs! You have declared yourself to be a mutant, and so you are! Welcome aboard the rainbow with all the rest of us sick and twisted folk, as CampDaven calls us. Our Grand Poohbah and First Sidekick Flagship1 are not only our instigators, but also our enablers, keeping us in line and also highly entertained.

I would love to see your Parade of Tiny Dogs! Perhaps in April at the first ever Grande Curiosity (curiosity being the official term for any gathering of 2 or more mutants) in Hot Springs, AR? A Grande time is planned for all!

Again: Welcome RVM#63!

Cheers!
Sue
