Welcome, traveldogs!

By my count, that makes three vegetarians, and if you include my dear spouse, four. Yippee!

We had a wonderful holiday, full of fun, food, friends and family. I have much to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving all. Those wrapped Smokies look over the rainbow.

Be honored, oh great one. If to be copied is the greatest honor one can bestow, then I am the great copycat. At least in this case.

And hungry? What, again already?

Cheers!
Sue

As for that bacon-basted turkey, 4 of us finished off half the bird and bacon, so I reckon it was not bad. 'Course my recipe said to put the bird breast down, so my bacon quilt basted its back.... Having said that, gravity kept the juices in the breast meat and the skin was lovely. We basted it the last 15 min. or so with a glaze of maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and butter, so the gravy made in the roasting pan was delish.

We also had bacon-wrapped green bean bundles, at great risk of over-baconning ourselves. (Is there such a thing?). Look online for recipes. Pretty tasty!

We seem to have a right talented curiosity of cooks in this group. I don't count as one of them, and I can hardly wait for our first potluck. Or is that "potlick"?

Are we all recovering now?

Cheers!
Sue
I believe the correct term for becoming over physical tolerances would be over- baconating.

I am so honored, so humbled, so pleased that you would make the Tur-Con.

Does it make a difference if it is another pic I stole from my cousin?

Earlier today I may have mentioned something about a smoked pork shoulder. Well I finally woke up enough to pull it. Anyone like pulled pork sandwiches?

Woof! That is so grand!

The first grandchild is.....?
Inquiring Mutants want to know.

And son 3 will be a papa!

They will both be "Mutanteers" yes?

You may now return to your regularly scheduled grandparenting.

How embarrassing for me. While I'm posting about a rump - Marty tells us a new pink one has joined the family and another is on the way! Congratulations Marty - future mutants I'm sure.
All the best to you, the DH and honorable number 1 and 3 sons and their brides.
