Marty, I suggest you pick what you want to be called given your family's history with grand parent naming and your propensity for changing your appearance.

Remember that kids can say the soundings da, ba and ma first. I have a friend name Elaine whose grandson calls her Mamalane and another who has chosen Mama B. When I did infant daycare most of them called me Mama at first. I think they consider Mama to be any female who feeds them. I ended up calling myself Barbee for them because Barb was too hard for them to say. Two syllables is easier than 1, I guess.

Cindy,

You might look at turbokool.com

They make a swamp cooler that fits a standard 14" RV roof vent and with your fans might help keep you more comfortable in the desert.

My husbands side of the family called their great gma mang ger as that is all the first grandchild could manage... I probably won't really like any of the things they come up with or that I might come up with...Hubby has been calling me grandma and I scowl and look at him and say... I'm not your grandma. Swedish is farfar for father's father, far mor is father's mother. I wouldn't oppose to that I suppose. It all just feels awkward still... cause I'm still mom and have one at home...

If I were an artist that would make a great picture. The head with Rainbow Hair - a rainbow above it and little rvs under and over the rainbow. Anyone remember the 60's pop artist Peter Max? I bet he could do it justice.

Marty,

How about MomMar, or something like that. When Robby and his cousin get old enough to talk it will come out different from Momma, eventually.

Hey Marty, when our oldest grandkids were little they couldn't get out Grammy but they did call Barb Mammy and it stuck through all the rest. So we became Papa and Mammy.

My wife's parents refused to have our daughter call them Gramma and Grampa. She was only allowed to call them Gran and Grandad cause they didn't like the names and it made them feel old.

We were Gramma and Grampa and wore them proudly. We were in our mid 40s. The GCs are older now. We are Grams and Gramps. Love it!

Really nifty to get a call or text from them for whatever reason, but especially if they have a question or problem to solve. When they say "thanks Gramps" I feel proud, and younger.

Hey Tim !!!

Nothing wrong with Tables at all, if it has a motor, 4- wheel drive, and ground clearance you're good to go.

Cheers !!!

Well ground clearance is a problem for us! Was looking through pics with grand-dauther and she liked the flowers in that pic. Just thought I'd share it!

To add to the other post, I'm Grampa, Mary's Mimi and I'm the worlds best Grampa and have the coffee cup to prove it!

Ours was a '97 Tahoe and we loved it. Used it heavily while building/remodeling the old (1860/1891) house in the country. Great for hauling materials, pulling the boat, hauling cloggers and the clogger trailer. Never off-roading, but plenty of back roads.

We traded it in '09 for a new Chevy Traverse and really liked that vehicle too. Still do, but we drive the Genesis much more frequently, and neither one during Snowbird season. Now, it appears that we will trade both the Traverse and the Wrangler in for a new Cherokee. Hey! It means money back, lower insurance, fewer Sirius subscriptions...DH is very persuasive!

So, Tahoe or Jeep: carry on!

Cheers!
Sue
