Sorry to have missed it, whatever it's moniker... but we've been stayin busy. We pulled into Yuma on Jan 1st. On the 5th I had 4 teeth pulled and bridge removed. Went back today and had remaining 6 uppers pulled. I now have no upper teeth, bone grafts and set up for 9 implants. Go back Wednesday for the next step. Gonna take a while but had to be done. I'll be enjoying baby food for some time. Hard to grasp not being able to eat Pho. Can't even gum my way through noodles. Oh the humanity. And to make matters worse- got there at 9 - left about 3:30 But then stood in line 1.5 hours to get out. The line actually crossed the river...
Crank up the blender it's smoothie time. Your right in The First Ever Video Curiosity sounds mutant! Good luck on the implants, I had one come out while at deer camp. There much larger than I thought. Doc said my jaw bone wasn't healing good so he added some Radiated human bone to firm it up. I'm waiting to see what supper powers I'll get from the radiation! How long before they actually place the implants in?

Well I actually needed bone and had infection so we weren't sure if a 10 tooth upper could be screwed in now - or go with a upper as we clear the infection and grow the bone. Either of those outcomes was suggested to be in for 6 months. But that is situational. And mine wasn't too good. And yes... I took an infection into Mexico. Don't tell...

Denise and I had to bow out of the silliness as we were inundated with a three day storm and earlier today our kitchen ceiling started leaking. Between DW with her mop and me crawling in and out of he attic trying to find where the water was actually entering the attic space and an almost patch made it was about an hour after festivities were due to be over before I could sit and relax. I have to go back on the roof tomorrow and affix a large sheet of rolled roofing in place and seal it with a gooier than mud product. We are both happy we chose to stay home this winter because we would likely have come home to a collapsed ceiling in the kitchen and breakfast nook area.

Lordy, these machines take a lot of upkeep & repair as time gallops along, don't they?! That all cannot have been any picnic. One at a time is bad enough.

How many teeth do you reckon this crowd has collectively lost over the past few months? Is it catching? (I'll add my puny 2 molars to the count.) We will have gathered several good sources of recipes for the gum-it-to-death crew!

Ommms all round for you & the others in a similar situation for speedy, easy healing.

We saw that Denise popped in to the silliness this evening, but had no idea what y'all were bravely fending off w/mop and corks! Do they give medals fer that? I can almost imagine coming home to a collapsed ceiling ... and I don't want to think too hard on it, either!

I think it's all a grand conspiracy: things & body parts all causing mischief, sniggering at us behind our backs. Backs, btw, which then seize up or go out on us. A finely tuned machine, my eye!

Much as we miss seeing youse, I'm glad you were home to catch it before the great falll! More ommms!

Ah, the joys of home ownership I donít miss it one iota. Maybe this is the universe telling you to ditch the sticks and bricks?.

We also had an issue - Huge branch poked a hole in roof - resulted in a "Waterfall" in Queens throne room ( bathroom ).

Would it fall into bathtub about 2 feet away? No, right on the floor!!

Along with hail damage our roofer got a new roof installed a couple days ago.

Yes, the joys, and a reminder of the Lake Catherine GC...

Well, I am not an expert, but we have experience..... that experience says do not rush it... healing time is your best alternative....
I have a full upper plate set on 4 implants... 2 were from 8 years ago, the front 2 were done a year ago november. It took about 6 months after the last 2 to get my perm plate. But I am pleased with results.

Larrys teeth were in fantastuc shape, the oral surgeon said his bone was the strongest he had ever dealt with... but he has been without ALL TEETH, both uppers and lowers since September. They just 2 weeks ago went in, split the front gum and cut and smoothed the jaw bone.... his bleeding was too much in sept to be able to finish it.

In the meantime, we have become pretty good at soft meals... yogurts, smoothies, blended foods, then progressed to soft foods, noodles are a staple, I cook them really soft, he cuts them really tiny, and i adapted most things like even a pizza casserole made if noodles....

His should be ready for his dentures when the last stitches come out in a week or so.

Since we seem to be sharing this maybe we need a new ohm term

Gohms? Gum ohms?
Notohms? No teeth ohms?

Tim is owed a PUBLIC APOLOGY from me.

During our travels, our "Micro Winnie" B RV does not pull a toad... So Tim has always been gracious enough to offer a ride everywhere.

Now, I was forced to decline a chance to ride share & pick them up on the way to Little Rock. It has saddened me to let him know this after he has been so good to give us many hours of chauffeur service for us.

I beg his forgiveness & publically apologize!
