Hello, Mutants:

It's been an eventful few days for us. Family, family, family, and car shopping.

We have whittled the choices down to 1. 2014 Chevy Equinox LTZ V6 or 2. Keep the CR-V. If the money works out, we'll go with option 1. All other options have been ruled out. Sorry, Jeep - the Compass is underpowered without the V6 option in the 2014 lineup. The Honda goes in for repairs on the 6th, due back to us on the 10th. At that point, we'll talk and see what we come up with.

Cars are cars...the important thing is family and friends, and we've had a wonderful week spending time together.

That's a mixed bag with an unpredictable outcome. Best to approach slowly, almost as to ignore her. In the jungle, any creature that is very interested in a monkey is considering that monkey as this evening's entree. The most successful big humans tend to be those who ignore her and let her decide you aren't a preditor. Even tho Sena has never seen a jungle, she still has the jungle instincts.

Ignoring her was my thought, too, to make her more curious about me. I wasn't thinking of predators, more like a cat who will go straight to the folks who ignore them. (Of course, people who ignore the cat generally don't like cats!) If one plays with her Lily, will Sena be jealous?

Cheers!

I know about cat behaviors. I am allergic to cats and horses and friends have about a half dozen each of both.

If you ignore horses they just ignore back but cats get right in your face and try to rub themselves all over you to show you just how great they are and then the swelling eyes, runny noes, and untied shoes come into pay,

Lily and Sena are protective of each other. If Lily gets overly excited while playing with someone else or another dog, Sena will think Lily is being harmed and will come to her defense with a threat, only a threat, to Lily's playmate either animal or human.

If you pet Lily, Sena is going to warm up to you sooner. I think she let's Lily test out people. Kinda like throwing her to the wolves, but it works for them.

Jim thanks for the vote of confidence, the problem I may have now for sure will be road clearance cause a 20 lb turkey added at least 18 lbs to my weight! Haven't figured that one out yet, unless of course the sweet potatoe pie, apple pie, and pecan pie also added weight! Thank goodness I ate conservative.

Past couple days been chasing 2 and 3 yo maybe some of the weight will disappeared otherwise Taho may be setting low and a little unlevel.

If I pet Lily and she likes me and I openly place almonds in my shirt pocket, do I win?

A pic of me and your 2 young ladies would make my grandkids squeel. And they are 16 and 19! Would boost my tude pretty good too!

Come on GC!

This is what I regret most about not getting to come to the first RVM Bash....not being able to meet Sena! I had an Uncle with a Spider Monkey years ago, but I don't remember it being too little at the time.
Oh well, some day!

Hi Marty,
Pet sitting is a great job. ..isn't it?
We've taken care of horses and chickens for other people, but had our own (male) goats years ago.
