Seems Ole Bay is a little out of shape. Having not been ridden in a few years has got him limping some. . Appointment made to get his nails done should help. Had SIL aka crazy horse lady, come over and look him over good, adjusted the saddle and reins and gave him a good thumbs up. Her RX was to take it easy on his training.

Son and DIL wanted horse to be at his best before placing the little Dynamo, GD, on his back Getting him use to the dogs also has been a challenge. My dog, calm and obedient was not a problem, their dogs Dynamo 1 and 2 has him nervous.

I'll send you a PM with phone numbers.

For RV parks: (Do you want inland or close to water)

Galveston:
Stella Mare, Not far from humanity,
Sandpiper, close to downtown Galveston
Delanera RV Park (close together - water access)
Galveston Isand RV Resort - far from Galveston.
Tiki Tom's RV Resort (May be noisy from traffic)

Other:
Galveston Bay RV Resort and Marina, extremely nice and on the Dickinson Bayou. (Close to us)
Marquee on the Bay (Adjacent to Galveston Bay RV Resort)
USA RV Resort (New - I'll have to check it out)
Green Caye RV Park (Inexpensive - no amenities - full hook up - close together.
Marina Bay Lake Cove RV Resort - (all back-in around a lake.)
Willow Lake RV Resort - (Relatively new. Nice park)
Marina Bay Resort, Kemah, TX. (Location, location - close to Kemah Board Walk - Tourist attraction)

There are many more in the area but the ones I have listed I know are "ok." If you are interested in any others I'll look into them.

Been busy today packing, rolling out Thursday for a week in Tucson. Got the MH washed, trailer is loaded except for the car. Got a few things to stow once the big slide is in.
Sorry we couldn't get our act together to visit anyone another time or two.

Dave,

You are miles and days ahead of me. I have SO much stuff to organize, downsize, disassemble, pack and load. But it's still a few degrees cooler here. I do understand what ya are talking about.

You are headed east and we are going north but I bet we'll end up in the same place again - sooner rather than later.

Safe travels!

Where in Tuscon, Dave? We will be at the Pima CF (yes, the GC place) all of next week for the FCOC rally. Come on down!

Hey! Ommms & meds = a potent combination!

Glad to hear Earlene feels better. Almost back to her natural sassy state?

Cheers!

All very sensible. I did think Ole Bay might use a pedicure, too. Him & our Dave might go together, ya think? Green nail polish? Blue? Gold, maybe.

It's good to have expert help in the family, isn't it. It's good to have a crazy horse lady to consult.

Daddy used to ride my mare to "get the sass out of her" before he'd let me ride, especially in spring. I did learn to sit a mild hop & buck now & then, too. Don't know if he knew about that. [emoji848]

Come to think of it, I’m due for a peddie!
How well can a farrier do my tootsies?
I look forward to seeing GD aboard her steed!

He said he does steeds, not sure about Steens.
There's already talk about a Christmas Parade!
