Hey you!! Happy Holidays! Did y'all make any more headway on the cub? Inquiring minds what to know?

Hey! That was *my* picture and me in it! It just happened to look like HerbnBarb's new ride. DH has a Jeep app that made the photo possible. :

We are still searching for the Right One, although it hasn't happened yet. Boy it's a lot of work!

One of the results of global warming is weather unpredictability/intensification. Where we live, near Toledo Ohio is one of the most difficult to predict but the worst of the weather goes either North or South of us, as it did this time. On the whole we have had less snow and warmer temperatures the last few years. Both of our vehicles are Subaru Outbacks including the H6 TV for the teardrop. RVM8

Shadowcatche good to hear the weather is missing you. As much pondering that takes place on this thread I must have missed you before or you've been missing but regardless welcome back. Tim RVM32

Hello My Mutant Friends,

I have been very busy as of late with my non-cooling Norcold, so I thought Id give you and update. I finally narrowed it down to the cooling unit being bad, the last indicator that I found was when I pulled away the cover to the burner and found the tell tale yellow stains from leaked out Ammonia. I called a mobile service tech to come check it out, and he said I was lucky that it leaked slow enough that it didnt cause a fire. So I ordered a new Amish cooling unit from Dave Force, and its on its way. Of course getting it here is easy compared to removing the fridge and putting in the new cooling unit. Once the fridge is out I will finally get rid of all the connections for the ice maker, I had one and didnt use it so I dont need it and therefore can 86 it and use that extra space for things like ice cream, because Im told that this new unit will keep the fridge cold enough that swe can have ice cream and it wont turn to mush. But, that being said, I can tell you we dont need that right now as it has been getting very cold at night here in Apache Junction, this morning when I awoke it was a balmy 30 degrees outside, thank goodness that my Hurricane hot water heat system is functioning as it is supposed to, we have plenty of hot water and plenty of heat to keep me in a good mood. And that all goes along with my Makers Mark Bourbon to keep this crazy head cold at bay. I didnt think Id get a cold in Arizona but I did, I havent had a head cold in years and I didnt miss those either and I never really considered needing one, it makes one wonder if it isnt early onset Ropus litis, but I'll fight that tooth and nail, unless of course I find I have a case of Packas Ratitis.

Congratulations to you Elizabeth on your 2014 Chevy, and thank you for buying an American product, I hope that it gives you thousands and thousands of miles of trouble free service. Just before we went Full Time I sold my 1994 Chevy pickup it still ran fine and had 285,000 miles on it, its only problem was rust caused by salt from the Michigan winters, when I bought it it had only 7 miles on it, I do miss that truck.

Sylviacub do you know anyone that can make leather arm covers for an armchair ? Id like to get some made for mine.

I hope all of the rest of you fine mutants are surviving the cold bravely and are traveling safely on slippery roads. I'll give you more updates as they come.

Cheers !!!

P.S. Steve & Herb, perhaps its time to do another shameless plug for the GC@CL and post a list of those that are already signed up.

P.S.S We are also planning on attending the National Rally at Myrtle Beach in September as well, Lord willing and hopeful the creeks dont rise ( Does anyone remember where that saying came from?)

Cheers !! Cheers !! Cheers !!

Howdy all to ya PT!

Sorry about your Norcold problems. When I bought my unit, the previous owner had an Amish unit installed. The fridge is always below 32, and the freezer keeps everything rock hard. We also always have plenty of ice. We're hoping you you have the same experience.

We are leaving in 10 days to go back East for the holidays, and we will be back Jan 25th. Hope we can get together again when we get back.

You and Marcia have a good Christmas.

Dave

Only 5 Arizonians? I'm shocked! I thought most were born mutants...Oh wait, those are the native Arizonians...

Only 3 from IL...that's where I'm originally from

Chicago, dontcha know. The REAL inner city, too...good mutant material there!

Hijacked to AZ when I was 4. Does that qualify as native. I ran around like one and was in the Indian Braves troupe.

Actually...we are now FROM IL...the state where the governors make the license plates. Technically, we are now from SD but that being said...we are now in the state of confusion.

We know where we were last, we know where we are now (though we have to concentrate hard on what day of the week it is), we are not sure where we will be next (well, until we get to our winter spot in TX) and learning more each day to be flexible.
