So true, and of course the *closest* one I had to drive to turned out to be the Hail of all GC's...ugh...
It's still a good 14 hour by car, so likely closer to 18-20 for me in the RV

I drive like a speed demon for about 6 hours or three hundred miles; whatever comes first. My trips are all planned 10 to 4 and 65 per. The only stumbling blocks were self-imposed and were centered around finding cool look-sees.

Well Moose, ya can't help it as a Mutant right? Those self imposed delays because of look-sees is by definition the journey being the destination, yes?

Boy have you got that right. We once found a campground because we decided to extend our visit to Wall Drugs in Wall SD. We now use that campground as a jumping off place when we want to play in that part of the world. The community campground in Spearfish is surely one of our favorite places.

3M views and counting...
Our mutated discussions are just too interesting I guess - we've now surpassed three million views. Either that or we've all looked at it 17,000 times each!

Wow, what a difference in temperatures since we go to Virginia Beach, VA. From Parris Island and Southward it was in the low to mid 90's. Here it has been in the low to mid 80's and humidity is lower.
Today it is raining and 74˚ and the rain is supposed to let up some around noon. Campground is providing a cook-out of ribs and other goodies. Earlene is practicing on the residents with Green Chile Corn Pudding. Y'all may (or may not) get some in MI.

Sounds really yummy! Maybe we can plan a GC in Arizona again next winter. Would y'all come west in late February/early March? I LOVE Earline's treats. I'll buy the ingredients if she'll do the cookin'.

Safe journey, y'all. This visit will be tough on both of you, so take this basket of ommms along & pull out a handful whenever you need them. We are thinking of you.
