Good thinking Marty. a silicone muffin pan would do the same and be more practical. I remember when microwaves first came out and we all still read newspapers. One trick was to put bacon between paper towels then set the whole works on and under newspapers and then put a square glass baking dish on top for weight. You'd end up with flat cooked bacon and no dishes to wash. I think they quit demonstrating that after a few fires from over nuked bacon got them sued.

I've baked up little bacon bowls on a muffin tin for probably ten years, dang another invention that I didn't know I could make money off of. Make great little hor'd'oeuvre cups.

You don't need to tell me about cold. I grew up in Saskatchewan. I decided to leave that province back in 1979. The day I decided to throw in the towel, the temperature was -65 with the wind chill. I was framing houses. Chilled to the bone! It was so cold, when you sat on the car seat, it didn't move. It was like sitting on a wooden bench.

Dang. Feel like I grew up in the tropics!
Guess we could swap stories about "how cold was it" for quite a while, pardner.
Y'all stay warm. K?

End of report. Filed.

We run the AC or the heat pump (basement air system) and if needed I'd run the gas furnace. After all, I go down the highway with the propane on th refrigerator running. Had a '72 Chevy Sportvan 20 back in '74 equipped by Travco. Gas furnace in that save out cold butts many a time. We use the truck diesel lanes at truck stops. Not as prone to going "boom" as gas islands.

Cheers!

Barb... Possibly out of touch with reality, (that cant be right, we often think alike, hummm). What a winter in the Northwest will do to an Okie!

Oh, now Wayne and Herb!..... (Mod.)
Tim, now you stop pickin' on Herb. We had a mini-curiosity a while back and I must say that he is almost as nice as I am. I have more "curb-appeal."

In the last 30 days we have posted 1,762 posts. What was it Muddypaws said about integers? (It was way beyond my ability to comprehend) But I think we may get to that seemingly large number in no time at this rate.
Look I'm still a trying to remember mu guzzintas and time-ses so watch the fancy stuff eh?

In reality Wayne, what was said was you take up more curb space.

Earlene will be cannonized and become a saint the day she dies! There's no need for her to have to pass the compulsory waiting time. No soreeee bob.

A Mutant Service Announcement (MSA)
RVM Shameless 8 Month Anniversary Promotion

Yesterday the R U An RV Mutant Too thread celebrated it's 8 month Anniversary.

Since then 64 iRV2 members have self identified and joined the RVMdom, taking their rightful place on the rainbow. We have developed a camaraderie of the highest order. We have even developed a website www.rvmutants.com , planned a rally (a gathering of mutants is called a Curiosity for good reason!) and are working toward other curiosities large and small for 2014.

Think you might be an RVM? Wonder what it's all about? Well here's how to determine if you too are an RV Mutant.

Do you have a beloved RV that doesn't have a thing or two but ya don't miss it cause ya don't need it. Is the journey your destination? If so, tell us what ya don't have and don't miss and join the RV Mutant curiousity. Next number up is RVM65. You'll be glad ya did!

WOW! We even have a mutant that can do "Psychotic Readings" in our midst.

When did you know you had the "Gift" Huntnski?

One must remember, this past week I suffered three days with a high temp.

Thanks so much. Doing this solo causes a little extra anxiety at first as some of you know. Had new batteries installed yesterday. Didn't realize there was a fault in the 12V system until I woke up in a 38 degree coach because the furnace never came on. Thank goodness the RV tech makes house calls to the middle of nowhere Arizona.

You said it exactly! I can't imagine being quite so nervous again as I was yesterday. The dog did not care for my anxiety but loves the co-pilot's seat. Don't try to tell him he is too big for it
