Duckman, Sena loves to shower with me -- provided the water is almost hot enough to scald me, but is terrified of standing water. We shower in the pool house and she hates just walking past the pool to get to the shower.

Last summer I found a tiny salamander on top of the floating pool cover, caught it and released it outdoors. She still barks a warning when we go into the pool house. AND then... The smoke detector started chirping a low battery warning and even Lily would quiver when we were in there. I'm convinced Sena thinks it's a jungle out there and preditors are everywhere.

Hi Ho - I'm beginning to think we may need to elect some Mutofficers (Mutant Officers) when we get to the GC @ CL to help catalogue things - the Temps are doing their best, but maybe a

Lexitmurant - to help with the Lexicon, a
Prosemutant - to help capture poetry and prose

Any ideas for other Mutofficers. Anyone want run for office? Speeches - banners - buttons?

Steve is hereby nominated for all the above and then some. Isn't that the way it works? Raise your hand with an idea and you get to do it!

Not to take away any of Marty's thunder, but since prose and poetry was mentioned, I thought I would share something with my fellow mutants. I wrote this many years ago when DW and I went through a really tough time and have since had it published.

Inner Strength

There are times like these

you could drop to your knees,

as you wonder how much you can take.

But as some people know

with their troubles in tow,

there is always a choice
 they can make.

To drown in our sorrows,

saps up our tomorrows,

and makes everything in our lives
 seem bleak.

So, just count your blessings

and not your misgivings,

and somehow you'll not feel so weak.

Just change what you can,

put the rest on a shelf,

and keep misery at an arm's length.

For it's the wealth of those

who can conquer their woes,

that's the secret to "Inner Strength!"

And then to have the bathroom vent cover crack also, well I fixed that too. But all is fixed finally and working as they were meant to work and we are now sitting pretty on the rainbow again.

Welcome to the newest of new mutants RVM 65, and well done Nissa and congrats on making it to Dead Horse State Park, we were in that area from August 23 to Nov 1st and had a great time.

I have to tell ya it was hard keeping up with all the musings while I was being distracted from posting due to the repairs that needed making. but passing post 8,000 another milestone and then to have the 8 month anniversary of this intrepid thread another milestone to be sure, well done one and all.

I will once more try to make sure I contribute to the plentiful ponderings and the wonderous wanderings of this eclectic group of curious curiosities.

Cheers !!!
Good Job Jeff!

Glad you can keep you beer cold now!

Welcome back to my cheering buddy! Glad to hear the faults are fixed and your rainbow is fine.

BTW, we ordered a deep cherry red Limited for April delivery. Couldn't find exactly what we wanted from any dealer willing to do a dealer swap, certainly not in time to beat the snow out of the frozen north. Disappointing.

Know anyone who wants an '09 Wrangler? Just askin'!

Cheers!

Well said and worth filing away. Rough patches come to most everyone and it helps to remember others go through them and have found good ways of coping. Thanks for sharing!

Cheers!

Baking up a Christmas cookie storm this weekend, listening to Christmas carols and thankful to be doing so. After the last month's upheavals and scare I am savoring "normal" life and counting my blessings. Peace at home is the best gift. Daughter is fine right now. I am not asking for more.
