I was laying under the coach today fishing a new battery cable through a loom of wire and hoses. I turned to look at something and a 3/8 bolt sticking down got me right square in the middle of the forehead. As I remember reading some old Seajay stories the only word that came to mind that I could utter in public was "Shucks". It inspired me to write a bad poem.

Getting ready to hit the snowbird trail
there are things to fix without fail
I got her fixed with wounds galore
I'm seeing stars but never swore

At last were ready to hit the road
load her up and hitch the toad
To far away and in between
there's no hurry, sites to be seen

A Mutant seeks the Rainbows end
the gold there is just some friends.

I was out spraying a few winter weeds today in a T-shirt. We are going to get another cold spell later this week or next. Possible rain. They usually come from Barb's area this time of year.

New wiper motor installed. Think I fixed the old one, but didn't want to take a chance of it not working for something I missed. It's up on a shelf in case the new one craps out. Simple operation with only 3 wiper contacts inside. Just bent them tighter and sanded the contacts. Probably all they did to the refurbished one I installed.

Don't blame me! We get them from Les and soak up some of the cold. You should be thanking us for taking the nasty out of 'em.

That cold spell last week was about the nastiest I've seen that time of year. I blame it on the Jet Stream that Canada is pushing down on us.

I blame it on global warming. I'm from the IRS and we're here to help you. The check is in the mail.

Hey, you guys can't really blame me for the cold! I live just over the border in BC. There a whole lotta Canada above me! And then there's Alaska!

Surely there's a member above me we can blame this on.

Maybe but you make it so much more fun to blame it on there is no reason to search for another scape goat.

In winter of 1972/'73 it snowed in "warmland". I have pictures to prove it! Routinely there was ice on the ditch in my front yard and mudbugs were swimming beneath the ice. It was unusual but it does happen down there.

What is this, pick on Wayne week. You'll be sorry!

For the record, I was not with Herb when he went to the "place." So any tales he tells are a fabrication. My 6 months of "never hearing the end of it" on the curb appeal is dwindling down.

On the brighter side, I'm letting y'all visualize the sunnier side of life.

Yes, it gets cold here in Texas City. We have a Winter day here and there but for the most part it is nicer than up North. Christmas day is predicted to be 50 degrees. I can almost take that. I'd prefer 70+.

Wasn't that?

Wasn't that part of a James Taylor song? You know the one that said: "Shower The People You Love With Bacon......'
