Well, got my awning back together...can't test yet, was to windy.....had to shorten the tilt arm an inch and drill 4 new holes.....will test in morning....Also found out these awning are pop riveted to the wall using 6 exploding rivets, also called tri fold rivets.....rivets are available on Amazon (of course), but think Fastenal also carries them....will stop by a store in Flagstaff

Well, I can't believe it.....found a place that carries replacement hubcaps for my aluminum wheels.....had them sent to my home and will pick up when picking tools up......also while plugging up that hub, noticed a tire hav'n a problem....so now have 2 more new ones.....and, to really top the day off, just got a freeze warning for tonight...21!....Better be filling coffee pot before I disconnect....and got awning tested this morn....not perfect, but very usable....the tilt arm I had to shorten keeps the big upper arm from closing tight, so good old coat hanger fixed that.....

Traveled about 200 miles today with headwinds (Tim, that's winds coming into the front of the motorhome) Temperature upon arrival at Brazos Valley RV Park, Caldwell, TX was 95. In the morning it is going to be 55 and we will head home, about 160 miles, to TC. It figures that since starting out in June, to escape the heat of the Gulf Coast, it was 90˚ to 95˚ in all the places we visited. Some 80's the past few days but still hot.

Earlene says I need to exercise more so I found this for her:

Somehow I envision that long "walk" being done in a rolling office chair.

Ooohh, I’d LOVE a Smarty Van, or even a Smarty Pickup. I miss my 1990 Nissan! I wish they’d bring back the small pickups with a reasonable price tag!

We stopped at the Habitat Restore in Phoenix today. I got a small pedestal bathroom sink with faucets and drain, a full size cast iron kitchen sink, a great pull down kitchen faucet and some miscellaneous small stuff for $130. On the way out of town we stopped at a nursery for 2 trees that were over 6’ tall. Everything fit inside Smarty except the kitchen sink that rode home on the cargo tray.

She may be small, but Smarty is mighty!

That's what Connie’s roof will do - collect water.

It rained, misted, sleeted, and tried to blow us off the road.... in Southern Colorado. So we went slower than normal, about 70 mph.
The first points are true, the last is off by 15 mph.
We left KOA Pueblo South this morning to take advantage of 70 today and 23 tonight inLas Vegas NM; 40 and 10 better than Pueblo.

Tonight: onboard water and 3 space heaters when the heat pumps fade (aqua-hot not functioning). But that’s camping; Mutation, as it goes.

And your day?
