Connie is sitting on packed sand, which quickly absorbs water. I chose her spot carefully. There are no places where water flows anywhere nearby. Average rainfall here is 3.4 inches/year. Bob and I will be adding a water catchment roof (gutters will shuttle rain into storage containers) over her that will extend 1-13 feet beyond her base on 3 sides. A carport on the doors end is the 13í roof. Eventually I plan to put a large screened porch on the 4th side.

How the heck is there going to be enough water to make her sink or float?

I looked up my property taxes today. They are due soon. I owe a whopping $12.08. Anyone jealous?

We are back home in TC. Got in about 12:30 p.m., and came from Brazos Valley CG, Caldwell, TX. Only about 150 miles. When we arrived at Brazos Valley yesterday it was 95˚ and when we got up this morning it was 55˚. It is the first cool cool weather we encounter the whole summer.

Made it nice for unloading when we got home to 60˚.

Family came down and helped then we all went out for some good food, Dave, Nola, Sara, etc.

R U a Mutant

Good morning EVERYONE!!!!

I get a break from house building today. We are headed up to Northwest Indiana, then to New Buffalo Michigan for GD Birthday.
Party starts at 4 but I was told I have to arrive early. Seems my daughter has a Dad's list she wants me to fix.
