I’m thinking that a GC would be tough to do. Hard to get many sites together in the same park that time of year.
Most of the attendees will be in their homes!

I have never even been to that area.... always done coastal, not center... so have no idea what it is like other than what I see online...

But what Dave said is true....

most of the rv parks I have seen are almost always more than half full, and most have gone park models for half....

I cannot commit to anything that far out, we are hoping to sell our rv before that....

as you all know, health is our great restriction.... that is roughly the same distance to our LVAD team, so that is good..... and while we can drive a few days, too many in a row, but totally wear Larry out...

room rental for us is just as difficult because of equipment we have to have tote....

But if you guys want to come this way.

We could meet one day near Lakeland,
maybe Colleen and Hunter too
We could meet one day at Steve and MaryAnn’s
We could do one day here....
we could also find a place in the middle of all three...

As to dates.... IDK

Hey Carl

Saw the thread over in the Discussion forum about the guy who drove 1100 miles in one day. Wondered if you had posted over there and called him "Amateur"...

Great post, Di.

It’s the time of year of “nearly no vacancy”, and the gatherings will be left, right, center, and whatever.

The clock begins 3/15, and the next 2 weeks are Hayden Time.

Then there is April 1 to mid May, 45 days to cavort!

We have time to plan, Muties! It’s a new adventure: not a GC, but some grand gatherings!

Wayne when you took your first driving test did you have to get certain riders for both mules and horses?
Tim, I took the test to deal with forum horse's butts who post things like tests for riders of mules and horses.

You must have failed that one.

In the car, my best time for FL to home is 19 hours for 1300 miles. 1100 miles in a day for RV driving averages out to 45 mph, which is kinda low in my opinion

A question

Question for those who have had new tires put on - have you heard of needing to re-torque things after a 100 miles or so or is that just bunk?

Carl, yes I have. It is typical for aluminum rims to check torque after 1st 100 miles. Although on my coach, when I had new steers put on, the shop said it wasn't that critical. I hope that is true, because I've traveled way more than 100 miles since. I believe the torque is quite a bit higher than the average automobile rim so maybe that's why.
You may want to get a second opinion.....let me know if I'm right or wrong.

When I had mine installed there was nothing said about needing to redo anything. In fact I didn't see them use any torque wrench at all. Run the lug nuts on with impact and I was good to go.
