Yay Steve! Won’t it be nice to be home? I bet Mary Ann agrees.

Well Barb, the real truth is: Photo is from 1961..

Would you believe " in my best imitation of Maxwell Smart " when I met Ann, in 1986, this happened to be the only photo I would send her in my "application" to date her...

Wellll, would you believe I met her in 1986 & I still felt like that GI???

Welll, would you believe , she took me the way I was???

I know, I know, that is the hardest to believe...

How did that get unplugged. Oh well, plug it back in...except, no plug, just torn wires. Sheesh. Fortunately, we passed a NAPA store on our way in. Go there and take up most of a row of parking, go in, get the plug, now to install it. Humm, which color wire is which (without old plug for reference)? Phone the trailer company for advice. Guy who knows is showing a trailer and will call me back. Meanwhile, the Internet to the rescue. Found some wiring diagrams, good, except my wire colors don't all agree with the diagrams. OK, all except for 2 colors, hot lead and ground. Well, test meter can show which one is ground, not lead must be one left over. Finally get plug wired up, test all functions. Surprise, got everything right the first time (how did that happen?). Call trailer company again to let them know I got it figured out, their guy made the sale and had just finished helping customer hook it up. Oh well, thanked them anyway. Lost some of cord length, had to reroute, will have to replace cord after we settle in at Yuma for the winter...

Two years?! 'Tain't fair! However, what is best, is best for Irene, even if that means ... oh, wait! Does absence really make the heart grow fonder? Is that even possible? (Leave da Moose outa this!)

Keeping y'all uppermost in our thoughts as long as you need us, your personal ommms machine still at full power.

Papaw Steve, you mind your p's & q's now, quietly getting on with an uneventful recovery. We've had enough theatrics from you, thank you very much! (I'm so relieved that you've been sprung! That was a big scare!)

Thanks, Barb, for the update!

Seeing Richard in that hat makes me think of my visit to the DMZ. The Koreans wore tall hats to make their army look taller.
In Richards case I just suspect he’s really a cone head !

Irene is going to need a pacemaker. It will put them staying in Canada for 3 years according to Dennis and it all has to do with the form of medical insurance in Canada. Really sucks big time.

Also, Ray is not in good shape at all. Prognosis is that he has only a few more days. Dwayne and Shara are up where they are now. We are doggie sitting Jade.

Prayers and ohms for Irene and Ray.

Sorry to hear about Ray. Him and his family are in our thoughts!

I was very surprised to hear about Irene as Marcie was just talking with her

We are in the same boat as Dennis and Irene. Marcie had a heart attack 2 years ago and every time they change her meds up to and including taking her off of one of them you have to go 1 year to be classified as stable.
Our Canadian healthcare covers every thing here but will not cover the higher cost of U.S. health care. Hence we need travel insurance to cross the border to cover us in the U.S. When you are not classified as stable your premium goes through the roof. Right now for us to come south for the winter it will be , $3000. plus for 3 months. Her year is up in the month of march. We are still shopping but it does not look good for this year. We still have a policy that allows us 16 days across the border so it will be short trips.
