Just sat in the dark and told pilots hello and goodbye. And of course drank lots of frosty chocolate milk.
Dang, if that's all there is to being an Air Traffic Controller, I should have signed up. I'm not scared of the dark, learned Hello and Goodbye when I was 2, and I could have learned to drink chocolate milk -- although I much prefer Dr Pepper.

Sounds like a GREAT job!

One other phrase they used early in their careers was "Watch Out".

RVM5 checking back in

I've have been bad . I have been shirking my duties in regards to following the RVM thread. Many apologies. I will try to improve my behavior.

The gathering of Mutants in April sounds like a good time. My DW and I will get the needed info and try to make arrangements to attend. The grandkids may raise cane with us since we get home from 2 months in Florida on around the 7th of April. But a trip to King's Island or Cedar Point with them could salve the wounds with them.

To all of my fellow Mutants - - "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" to you all.

Welcome back to the rainbow! :wavy:

As your penance, you'll be required to read back at least 10 pages and pass a test. Multiple choice. Flagship1 will be in touch.

We will look forward to meeting you at the GC@CL (Grande Curiosity @ Catherine's Landing) in April. Bring it on !

Cheers!
Sue

Ha! There was a training exercise for Air Force pilots called the FSTB or Full Stop Taxi Back. They would land - pull up to the ramp - taxi back to runway at take off again. Just tell the Grands your on a training mission!

Great to hear from ya and all the best this holiday season. Sent ya a followup PM with website link and info on signing up for the First Ever Grande Curiosity @ Catherines Landing in Hot Springs Arkansas. We currently have 18 signed up. 19 would but us closer to filling the 28 or so sites we have reserved!

Wayne I'm glad to hear your curb appeal is fast becoming a memory of a great time we had. You guys are great entertainers and I know Don and Sandee had a great time. We too are anxious for April to come so we can all meet up for the grandest of Grand Curiosities. I will have to see which way Don is pointing his chariot next. Maybe he will pass thru Ft Worth and we can be the entertainers. Uh oh just had an infrequent flash of brilliance. If we route our trips by mutants locations at every nites stop, we will always have somebody to have dinner with! Naw that won't work, our mutant map locators will look like jello, always moving around. Oh well, press on fellow Muteys.

31 Out!

They suggest that anyone travelling in the current icy conditions should ensure they have the following:

Shovel
Blankets or sleeping bag
Extra clothing including hat and gloves
24 hours worth of food
De-Icer
Rock Salt
Flashlight with spare batteries
Road Flares or Reflective Triangles
Full gas Can
First Aid Kit
Booster cables

I looked like an idiot on the bus this morning!

Yup, just need a tiny need a magnifying glass to see little "TM" on the bottom right of any logo used (or diagrammatically used diagram)...should do the trick.

Once we reach 8,000 members to match our 8,000 mesages a little 'r' in a circle might be considered....perhaps... maybe...
