OK we are now safely ensconced in site 51 at the Oak Bay Marine Group's Pedder Bay Campground and RV site. We will be here until New Years and then we see what happens and if we can get travel insurance. Just a few miles from Victoria at best and like Earlene, Denise is crazy into shopping and there is lots of that in this area.

Celebrating your Thanksgiving too here in Kanuckistan Jeff. My buddy is from Hollywood and he, his girl, Denise and I will be watching the NFL games and doing up a turkey etc. If any of you remember Mala Powers the actress it is her son Toren that we will be celebrating the American Thanksgiving with next Thursday.

So in the spirit of foreclosure I will have to tell you that the Scotch I was planning on sharing with you at Thanksgiving will not go unopened.

It will be enjoyed immensely by Toren and I but will give up its life for a good cause.

Hi Sir Cumfrence.

We ran into a problem yesterday and were to busy to call you back.
Off to watch the Canadian version of the super bowl.

Now if everyone would wake up we could again have more nmeaningful dialog on this thread.

Caio for now.

Today was laundry day for us. We went into Yuma where they have the JUMBO machines and did the equivalent of 10 loads. Maybe I shouldn’t wait 10 weeks between laundromat visits. Sena had a great time entertaining the other customers while Lily hung out in the shaded car. Whew! I’m glad that’s done!

Today (ok, starting yesterday) was travel back north day (ugh!). Rained from SC all the way to CT yet I still made close to record time! Lucked out with no backups or traffic jams the entire trip.

Mac used to travel in a travel cage but she never liked it and usually wound up getting car sick. I started having her sit on the top of the passenger seat (removed the headrest) and that seemed to make her rides better. Well, this was the big test, a full 20+ hours in the car and she did wonderful. Sat there the whole time, watched all traffic and scenery and never once got car sick.

Unfortunately, nothing white, just grey trees with no leaves anymore. Like visiting the desert, it all looks dead.

When I come back, sure I'll stop by, it'll be someplace to go on the bike I did go visit the Wohlfords but they're a bicycle ride away

Well, it is lonely. No RVMutants in the area and no fur-baby, yet, to snuggle to. But alas, we have taken a bite out of the bullet. We are almost proud parents of a new fur-baby. We just have to have something in our lives to pamper. Heaven knows we don't pamper each other, heaven forbid!!

So here she is and will be picked up on December 9th.

You can all say what you think it is - BUT THOSE WHO have been already told by Earlene CANNOT participate.

Right now we are just calling her baby and thinking up a name. She is six weeks old.

Hip hip hooray! Does this make it a hip roof?

Wonderful news & great progress!

I know it’s hard to see because it’s so low pitched, but notice the shade the roof created on the south wall. The main purpose of the roof is to capture water and shade Connie.

Next comes gutters and IBC totes to store the water. I’m also going to lay a 40’x4” PVC pipe painted black up there as a solar water heater. The solar panels will also live up there when we’re here, but travel north with us for the summer.

Progress!
