Got the GF a big bottle of Raffinee perfume. She dusted Sadie with it and I can still smell it today. She smells very lady like. I don't like many perfumes, but this one is light and pleasant smelling.

Thoughts and prayers for JudyH and family. Let's hope 2014 brings good things to both mutants and non-mutants!

Nope it was a desk computer(tower), Hubby took it down and blew the dust out but it still wasn't happy so he went to Wal Mart and bought another and now is trying to figure out how to get our files out of the non compliant one.
( I kind of think he should have taken it to a computer doc... but he is the engineer in the family...so I told him do what he thinks is best.)

We took the beast out for a two hour drive today to stretch her legs and we ran the genny for an hour. It was 58 degrees, clear skies, slight breeze...and we just wanted to keep going. We step into the MH, and all our cares drop away. We have such good memories of our travels in it that we are instantly relaxed.

Mary got a new job this week, so that makes one full time and one part time job, both of which can be done with a mobile hot spot. I need a job I can do on the road - we want to go full time. I don't know what we'd do with eight parrots, four dogs, three grandkids and one dear son, though. We won't all fit!

I have made a few investments in portable hard drive enclosures. You can pick them up starting at around $25 and electronic stores. You just take the hard drive out of the old computer and stick it in the portable enclosure and you have another hard drive connected typically by USB cable. You can copy all the files you want to another hard drive. When finished, reformat the portable one to get rid of any errors and use it as a separate file storage device. Over the years i have bought 7 of those devices and I use them for storage of different types of files, movies, photos, etc. Some are 80 gb and some are a couple Tb.

Wayne, our son #3 does a lot of stuff like that... he took it to his house to see if they could get the files, didn't yet, but DS is gonna keep at it tomorrow after he gets off work.

You probably need to reformat the hard and reinstall what ever operating system you have.
You will need a CD of the operating system and a thumb drive or external hard drive to back up what you want to save.
When you go through the reformat process there is a step asking you what you want to save. Reformatting the hard drive will wipe out everything you don't save. It's like starting over with your computer.
I just had to do this with my Windows 7 system last week. All is good now.

Thank you all for your compassionate wishes. We are going to wait and see how the weather does later in the week, as one memorial is Friday and the other Saturday. This gives us time to figure it all out. Elizabeth, you are blessed with a beautiful child.
Mike, I just knew she'd like the coffee maker, the instructions just make it sound difficult to operate.
Wayne you talk about computers like they can be worked on.....I know my son does that too. For me if it doesn't work and turning it off and on doesn't fix it then I need serious help.
