My Sadie likes it when I stick my finger in her ear, but after about 10 seconds, she pulls away and wants to smell my finger. Weird...

Did some work on a friends RV (recreational vessel), and was happy with my work, so one day I get a box from him. Ex navy so I like my coffee, which he knew. It was a JURA machine. Pour in beans, fill water reservoir, push button and one of the best cups of coffee is dispensed into your cup. You can vary the strength and amount and it's great. DW and I love this machine. She's even named it. It holds 1/3 of a bag of beans, water for 6 cups, and even has a taste filter for the water. When our boat sells and we buy the RV, it's the one galley appliance that absolutely doesn't go with the boat.

I still have my old steel thermos from my working days. When traveling I still fill it in the morning with coffee for the road. Old habits are hard to break. My journey is the destination and I enjoy a cup of joe along the way. We have a Keurig now so I might have to make changes.

The steel thermos! Made by Thermos, right? Plastic or cork stopper? If plastic, plug or screw-in type?

If I had a nickle for every cup out of a stainless......

What I don't understand is you can use 6-8 or 10 ounces of water. Doesn't that change the strength of the coffee?

Dave, I did sniff my finger once after rubbing in her ear and didn't smell anything.

6, 8, 10 cups means good, weaker, blech!

Directly sniff her ear?

Mike - I never thought to ask... Do you ever - always or never drag a net with your trawler? If ya did - biggest catch (as opposed to ketch).

Hello, Mutant Sisters and Brothers:

Coffee is an absolute must. Nothing must interfere with the provision of coffee. Coffee is God's gift to me every morning. Coffee convinces me to open my eyes and get up out of bed. Coffee is the elixir of the gods.

That said, we have four pots, two each in the S&B and two in the beast. We have a pod brewer (one Keurig, one Cuisnart) and drip pots in both. In the morning, I brew two pods and drink that while waiting for the drip pot to brew. It's a brew and hold, so it stays hot and fresh and never burns. Ahhhhhhhh, coffee...

Two additional stainless steel mugs full accompany me to work. Stainless rocks.

I think a Keurig for Christmas was a great idea, and the GF will enjoy having a quick cup of coffee whenever she likes.

Thanks Sue and Elizabeth too! Someone had to divert us from sniffing things.
I was all ready with this diversion from the 80's --- Sniff 'n the Tears - Driver's Seat
