So you know what works? To get the water? Sham Wow. Really, they do absorb a LOT of liquid. I use them to get the water out of our trusty swamp cooler, when I clean it. Much better than the towels, just have a bucket and keep wringing the Sham Wow towels out into the bucket. Then I would see about renting a dehumidifier from some rental place. Or buy a small one from Amazon. Or Sears? maybe they sell them too.

Stevia is pretty commonly available most everywhere, I haven't tried it enough to develop taste for it yet. I am strongly opposed to high fructose corn syrup. I can't make myself buy "Grandma's Original Whatever" when the first ingredient listed is high fructose corn syrup. What? Granny had a lab develop the chemicals to extract the fructose from the corn so she could put that in her Jelly? I don't think so. My Grandma used sugar and sometimes corn syrup or dark corn syrup or molasses but....oh well, there you got me started.
We stay home on New years eve and let the amateurs go party and drink too much.
And I am packing for trip to cold snowy Midwest. BBRRRR.

Again - in no way endorsing or recommending - sativa - sort of rhymes with stevia - which was legalized for registered medical patients in the state of New Mexico - our Texas neighbor to the West in 2007. The

Approved Conditions: The 15 current qualifying conditions for medical cannabis are: severe chronic pain, painful peripheral neuropathy, intractable nausea/vomiting, severe anorexia/cachexia, hepatitis C infection, Crohn's disease, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), cancer, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, damage to the nervous tissue of the spinal cord with intractable spasticity, epilepsy, HIV/AIDS, and hospice patients.

When my aunt was going through her several bouts of chemotherapy (Washington state) she tried it in several forms (never smoke) but was allergic to it. She said it helped with her nausea and she could eat but it immediately clogged her head up and she did not think it worth it for her. She put up a great fight and for those who do not know - she is the namesake of Bonita Bounder.

If you look closely at this picture - you can see Bonita returning to mother earth and sister sea.

Again - not endorsing or seeking comment. It really was a play on words. Perhaps a bad one but has lead to me remember my Bonita at New Years!

Happy New Year to All.

So Leslie, what you are saying, if I may paraphrase, that Canada has no pennies and nobody misses them? A whole country of money mutants? Go figure!

Oh, and on the texting mitt -- what happens when it fogs up on the inside from body heat and moisture? Looks to me like another dumb idea that will get more dumb people walking into traffic. Hey, good plan! Natural selection will delete the gotta text nonstop types out of existence.

One last post for 2013 and I'm shutting off my internet connection. The natives swear that the river fog messes with cell phone reception and I'm believing it tonight.

I want to thank all my sick twisted mutant friends for the cheap entertainment that has kept me sane these last few months enduring the cold and gloom of the Pacific Nortwet.

And of course wish everyone the best year ever in 2014. May everyone have at least one dream come true. I love y'all like the sister I never had.

See you next year!

Hello Mutey's !!!

I wish to wish you the happiest of New Years !!!

We must travel to Sky harbor to pick up our friends at 11:13pm and then skedadle right back to the magic carpet before the loonies get out. The neighborhood police are already setting up their sobriety centers, so that tells me its best to drive 55

Be safe out there ......

Cheers !!!

I used to nap when tired, but it made it harder to sleep at night. Now, I just force myself to stay awake. I can usually get past the sleepy spells.

It's 2014 where I am, and the fireworks are booming and cracking all over the place. Grand finale, I reckon, and the start to a fresh new set of 365. (Or is it 365 1/4?)

Time for these baby blues to close. Going kayaking in the morning. What a great way to start the year! Wish y'all could come along too! I'll prolly wind up in the drink getting out, so it will be wonderful entertainment. For some folks!

Cheers, and happy happy!

When I had chemo/radiation for throat cancer back in March, I didn't have any problems with nausea. I got Cisplatin, and it was supposed to be the worst for causing nausea.

I have my alarm clock set for 11:55 so I can toot my $1.00 air horn in a can at midnight.
